Hi guys,
any idea why my Pcx gloves box won't close??? All seems looking fine, but despite pressing hard won't click and close
I will try to post some picture to compare parts just in case there could be some damages (BTW, never worked since I've got it 2nd hand)
TIA,
Adriano

Re: Glove compartment box won't close
Check to see if the latch is broken? On the 2013 model there is a piece of metal that acts as a latch on the door itself. The "catch" on the panel is just the plastic lip itself. If someone pulled too hard on the handle, the plastic could break. It is a simple mechanism, so check both parts of the latch to see which one is broken.

Re: Glove compartment box won't close
I am trying to figure out the pictures. Is picture #3 the door itself? If it is then it looks like the plastic latch is broken.
Is picture #2 one of the outer plastic body covers?
Like I said, it is a little difficult to determine from the pictures. However, usually the black part is the inside of the box, while the red is reserved for the outer cover.

Re: Glove compartment box won't close
It looks like the male part (colour red) of that latch is worn.
Difficult to see, but is there something inside the female portion of the latch?
If that is the case, you might be able to "build-up" the male latch with a bit of JB Weld and file to original shape.

Re: Glove compartment box won't close
Thanks guys for your feedbacks.
Female part seems to work properly under finger pressure, locking as expected, so most probably it's the male worn latch the issue here. Considering the limited cost I could order a new door cover or attempt to rebuild the worn part with some epoxy glue.
