Check to see if the latch is broken? On the 2013 model there is a piece of metal that acts as a latch on the door itself. The "catch" on the panel is just the plastic lip itself. If someone pulled too hard on the handle, the plastic could break. It is a simple mechanism, so check both parts of the latch to see which one is broken.

I am trying to figure out the pictures. Is picture #3 the door itself? If it is then it looks like the plastic latch is broken.
Is picture #2 one of the outer plastic body covers?
Like I said, it is a little difficult to determine from the pictures. However, usually the black part is the inside of the box, while the red is reserved for the outer cover.

Female part seems to work properly under finger pressure, locking as expected, so most probably it's the male worn latch the issue here. Considering the limited cost I could order a new door cover or attempt to rebuild the worn part with some epoxy glue.
