Re: seat damper/lift...or lack thereof
The local shop agreed that my 2014 Forza's seat shock / seat damper needed to be replaced under warranty several months ago, but the part was OOS all over the country. This, to me, was clear sign that Honda was at least changing the manufacture if not the design of the doohickee. Mine was replaced u...

Re: Three recalls done at mile zero
I wonder how many other Forza owners have an Iron Butt license plate frame? Anyone out there? I've done more IBA rides than I have registered, but I have registered several (including a 50CC). My IBA license frame faded to illegibility, and I haven't bothered to replace it. So right now my Dragonsl...

Re: 2013 Forza 300 starting problem
I would start with the switch on the left handbrake. In my experience, the Honda micro-switches are a weak spot. On my Goldwing, nearly every single one was changed out under warranty, and several others I changed out after the bike was out of warranty. I also wore out a couple of clutch lever bushi...

Re: givi tall screen or honda tall screen.
I am *very* happy with my Givi AirFlow. The adjustability is marvelous, the deflection off of the hands is great, and I really like that at night I can see the turn signals reflected in those deflection processes.

Re: Muffs
Thanks. I'm hoping that my latest workaround will work. I've ordered some wider bar ends with a narrower diameter. The muffs will cable-tie properly onto these and I won't need to fix them with the screw. Now I just hope the bar ends I've ordered are heavy enough. Which bar ends did you get and how...

Re: Muffs
My modified install of Tucano Urbano muffs is now in this thread:
http://hondapcx.org/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=5416
I've been using them for over a month now with no trouble. It took me about a day to get used to the lap blanket, though.

Re: Changed your bar ends?
OK, here's my temporary fix for the Tucano Urbano Muffs on my 2014 Forza. As has been noted, they really want a longer bar with a skinnier bar end weight. If one just brute forces the installation with no modifications, the screw that goes into the bar end weight simply pulls through the rubber grom...

Re: Changed your bar ends?
I'm not giving up on these Givi muffs yet, and guess I can get them to fit if I swap the standard Forza bar ends for some which are longer and have a smaller diameter. Has anyone changed their bar ends for something like this? I'm also looking for longer, smaller diameter bar end weights and for th...

Re: Hand guards
I wish they would make some guards that not only block wind but have plastic coming over the hands so they stop rain from getting on your gloves/hands - no idea why these seem to not be available. Gap in the market for someone to make a mint. What about something like this:? http://scooter-wear.com...

Re: Wiring up an extra brake light
I think the wiring harness is done as an all-one-piece. I don't think there are plugs to disconnect the tail light section from the rest.
No... Wait... I was wrong.
There is a 6P connector that joins the rear combo light to the rest of the harness.

Re: Seat won't stay open
I think that Glen is on a PCX, not on a Forza. Even with the "damper" disconnected, I don't think our Forza seat will open that far. And, yes, I have FSS (Falling Seat Syndrome), too. My dealer is waiting for a back-ordered part to do to warranty work. In the meanwhile, I have cut a stick ...

My throttle lock solution
Am I the only person who did not know that the Forza’s grips are not merely the rubber(ish) cover but also the hard plastic body underneath? I wanted to install a throttle lock, and have had good experiences with the Vista Cruise on a couple of other bikes. So I picked up one for Hondas in the right...

Re: 73 MPG !
Even within the US there will be huge variation due to elevation and prevaling climate conditions. Tru dat! My previous ride was an '03 Wing. When we lived in the Triangle, my normal commuting resulted in ~38-40mpg. When I moved here to Columbia SC, which is very muggy and very low elevation, I was...

[quote="Adrian"]You can't close the door with a wire hanging out of it. /quote]
I do, and often. I just make sure that the wire comes out on the bottom side of the door seal so that when the seal is damaged, it acts as a drain hole rather than as an inlet.

Re: Put the topcase on today.
Has anyone tried a Givi 55 liter top case on a Forza? I have the Maxia III on my 2014 Forza. Works great! Here's when I did it: http://hondapcx.org/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=4606 And here are a couple of snaps of the thing out in the wild (working out attachment points for cargo). http://hondapcx.or...

Re: Givi vs Honda Screen
This is just a quick-n-dirty cell phone snap. Note that the shop manual does not call this piece of clear plastic a "windscreen" or anything like that. It is a "meter visor." WTF?

Re: New speaker
Up until what speed can you go, and still be able to hear the music in normal city traffic? I've been playing with this a bit. The other day I loaded up a spoken podcast and, despite occasional losses when someone spoke more quietly, I was able to follow the discussion up to about 45 mph. The FM is...
