I have heard that it's a good idea to track of this as a consistent increase in RPM at a given cruising speed can be an indicator that the drive belt is wearing out.
Can anyone confirm or deny this rumor?

I often find the manual a bit opaque, but it's better than having nothing at all.

Even if it feels like the front end is rattling in an excessively hard fashion? I feel like what I want is a softer ride overall with a stiffer preload and better rebound damping.you you wrote:Trying a heavier fork oil is always worth a first punt

Re: Malossi rear shocks (twins!)
Do the Malossi make the Forza corner any better? Or is it just a comfort thing to use them? I have no firm data, but seat-of-the-pants impression (ha!) is that these are a great improvement. Riding one-up on the stock shocks, I was most comfortable at the middle preload setting. Most of the year, I...

Re: Forza Windshield Upgrade -- Part Deux !
I went with the adjustable Givi and have been very happy with it. Around town (most of my driving), I usually keep it pushed all the way down. With the flip on the top and the push-outs on the lowers that keep my hands in a relatively still zone year-round, everything is quite nice. On the highway, ...

Re: Headlight Upgrades
LEDs still going strong, four months later. Scooter gets almost daily use in all weathers. No regrets. I still haven't located that beam height adjustment screw yet, even after checking the manual and looking up under the fairing. Why can't I see it? Need to get an eye test, next. Here's from p. 3-...

Re: Left CrankCase Cover Torque Values
I find the SM unclear on this point. Page 12-4 has no specific torque values on these 11 bolts. Page 12-5 refers to them as "Bolts (8 mm head)," and there seem to be the correct number of the circled in the picture. Looking back at the general torque values on p. 1-11, I see an entry for &...

Malossi rear shocks (twins!)
Well, last Sunday I swapped out the stock rear shocks for a set of Malossi shocks. It took very few minutes (despite going ahead and removing the lower rear body piece (two screws, three tabs). With the stock shocks, I was preloading at the 4th tab but still bottoming out over speed bumps. With the ...

Re: Tucano Urbano Leg Cover Review (initial impressions)
I have been using this leg cover on my 2013 PCX. I parked my Forza with its Thermoscud and Givi box at a grocery store last winter right next to a PCX with a Thermoscud and a Givi box. It was a nice moment here in the Deep South of the USofA, where what I mainly end up parking next to are ginormous...

Re: Tucano Urbano Leg Cover Review (initial impressions)
I have tried to fit the Urbano Tucano cover yesterday and found the instructions were not very clear but finally managed to fit it on except for the straps which go under the front wheel faring and into the push-button studs. I broke one of those push-pin body connectors when I was taking it out an...

Re: Tucano Urbano Leg Cover Review (initial impressions)
I bought and installed the Tucano Urbano Thermoscud cover for my Forza last October, installed it early November, and took it off when things started to warm up permanently in mid-March. First piece of advice for anyone else wanting to use this: be sure you have replacements for those push-pin body ...

...how do you open the battery box. I want to install a battery tender. Thanks. I installed Battery Tender leads last summer when I bought the bike. Re: Better mirrors from Honda
Just wanted to say thanks for this great tip. Rode up with a couple wrenches under the seat, swapped them out in the parking lot, and enjoyed th...

OK, here are inadequate cell phone pictures of the relevant pages from the 2014-2015 Service Manual
First, a list of the codes.
Then, the description of system the bike uses to report trouble.
(I uploaded those pictures in a different order, but this is the order the board want us to have them in.)

Noticed that blinking like 5 long&4 short in serial Any ideas? I'm going to shoot a couple of cell phone pictures to post here, but before I do, here's a little glossary to the terms the Service Manual uses: MCS = Motorcycle Communication System; I think this is the machine one plugs into the s...

Here is a side-by-side of the stock Forza 300 mirror (top) and the stock CB500X mirror (bottom). It was a very easy swap, but not free (as sliding the hand control units would be).

Re: Recall on 2014 FORZA
I got my official recall notice after the work had already been done. The bike was in to have the seat damper / seat shock replaced, and the shop notified me that there was this other thing as well. My comment: "Torque a brake line bolt? What'll *that* take? Five minutes?" His reply, "...

My most recent three rides: A VFR750F on which I put some 76K. By the time an ice storm dropped a tree onto it, it had aftermarket handlebars, seat, and a full Givi set of bags and windscreen. I realized at that point that I was touring a lot. So... A GL1800 on which I put 152K. But, in the 12th yea...
