Re: Question about buying a Forza
Webini1963, In retrospect, I would not spring for the light kit in the Givi top box. It has been very fragile and unreliable. The rattles and vibrations I can deal with (and have dealt with), but the lights are out yet again, and I'm tired of spending the time to repair them. I'm still a full-time t...

Re: Submarine Work
I simply ordered a pair of CB500X mirrors and they went right on. One is normal threading, the other reverse.Dufus wrote:Thank you! Am I gathering correctly from other posts that I need left-handed threading on both sides?

Re: Question about buying a Forza
Last summer, I downsized from a GL1800 with 152K on the clock to my 2014 Forza because I had stopped touring and am now only commuting. In my low-elevation, high-humidity environment (Columbia, SC), this meant a jump from ~30mpg to ~65mpg and an ability to park nearly anywhere. The trade-off is that...

Re: members in Alabama
This is the first time I've seen reference to that member map. I've added myself and will say here that we have a couple of guest beds and are known for cooking up a storm (when not exhausted from teaching). Also, there are currently 3 microbreweries within 2.5 miles of the house, and soon to be ano...

Here's a picture of a stock Forza mirror sitting next to a CB500X mirror:

Re: First 100 mile trip on my Forza NSS300A
I forgot to mention the CB500X mirrors, which stick out a bit more on the sides and allow me to actually see what's behind me. Here's a picture of the Forza and the 500X mirrors lying next to each other: http://hondapcx.org/viewtopic.php?p=83144#p83144 I'm a year-round rider in the Deep South who tr...

Nice.
Be sure to let us know how you end up routing power to whatever you're going to put on those mounts.

Re: First 100 mile trip on my Forza NSS300A
I'm a year-round rider in the Deep South who traded in his Wing for the Forza last summer. I realized that I had stopped touring and was only commuting. During the last 30 months I owned the Wing, I had only put 7K on the clock. Before that, I averaged 15K each year. So I stepped down to an urban co...

Nice!
Is it functional as well, or merely decorative? And if functional, in what way?

Oh, and the top of the "Technical Help" subforum here has a link to a parts catalog that might help, too.

If you haven't yet been able to find the part you need, there is a comprehensive parts site here; http://www.bike-parts-honda.com/honda-moto-model-FORZA-300-2015.html In the US, you might find this site useful: http://www.westernhonda.com/fiche_select2.asp?category=Scooters&make=Honda&year=2...

Re: Which topboxes fir the OEM rack?
I put a GIVI rack on my Forza for a GIVI 55 litre top box. It rattles like crazy and really bugs me. I, too, put the Givi Monokey series Maxia III 55 liter case on my Forza. I included the light kit, passenger back rest, and luggage rack (which I use as an attachment point for a cargo web when haul...

Re: Headlight aim
I need to know how to aim them on a 2014 Honda Forza. I know where the adjuster is I think but need a way determine how high or low to point them. My normal seat-of-the-pants procedure is to find a nice, flat piece of ground that has a wall at the end of it. I pull the bike right up to the wall wit...

Thanks, gn2. The rumor made great sense to me, and I'm glad to have some metrics as a bit of a guide.
I think I'll celebrate by having a bit of your national beverage. It is, after all, almost 16:45 here.

Re: ...
Rizoma it is then. Thanks, Cypriot friend, but those won't quite do the trick for my application. First, they're horrendously expensive (are they made of gold), but second and more importantly, I need to change my weights out for winter riding; the stock weights are not terribly compatible with the...

Re: Longer, thinner handlebar end weight?
It would be easier to buy some of the stock weights for a different bike. The trouble with most of the Honda weights is that the end that goes into the handlebar is not flat; it has a half-circle raised area that jigsaws into the fitment inside the handlebar. If I were going to do any machining, I w...

Longer, thinner handlebar end weight?
Just asking again, as I have had no luck my own self:
Has anyone found a decent replacement for the stock handlebar end weight that is both longer and thinner (smaller diameter)? Enquiring minds want to know.
Thanks,
Michael

Re: Rear shock options
I switched to the Malossi rear shocks at the beginning of June. The ride is not smooth (remember that I came to the Forza from a Goldwing), but it is better. And I really like having the preload adjuster up at the top; it makes me much more likely to beef it up on Sunday mornings when the wife hops ...
