Horn too sensitive - haven't indicated in weeks...

Ok, back on topic. I think the problem with my use of Home's fix (who h is a great fix for those with the factory horn) on my bike is that those switches he suggested only allow small current through them, and my air horn needs BIG current to work the relay. Once I solve that problem I will hopefully be using Home's solution.

If you can't move the horn button, make a new one. :-)

One last thing on my wife. She is out of the hospital now and at home. I found out from her doctor that her platelet count was suppose to be between 150,000 and 450,000. Her count when she went into the hospital was 2... not 2,000...not 20,000... just 2. She almost died.

But she is ok now.

Mel - Happy to hear she's OK & best of health! We almost never realize how incredibly close death is.

I am going to try some ghetto fixes this weekend, got a plan in my mind.

1. Jamming a slightly shaven matchstick between the horn button & the housing - create more friction.
2. Zip tie the neoprene hand muff to the indicator switch (with the locking side of the zip tie inside) so I can feel it better through the muff (please God don't ever let me say that again).
3. Put some rubber bands between the button & its housing.

Those sound "interesting"... hmmm.... take pictures.

Winter is almost gone, so the muffs will be removed soon. Once that is done you may find Home's solution to be quite ingenious.

I Realized today that while my wife was in the hospital the grass didn't stop growing. Hmmm... guess I will be mowing the lawn instead of riding. Man, if it isn't one thing it is another. All this grass just when the pollen count hit 3,000. How's a rider suppose to get some "me" time!? (Suppose to rain tomorrow).
