Your neighborhood started at 3:30 ??
Isn't that kind of early?
In our area they started just before sunset and went until around 8:30, with some stragglers a few minutes after that. All done by 9.
When I was a kid we couldn't start until it was dark. My how times have changed.

Maybe it was influenced by Hocus Pocus. :-)
