Re: Buzzer for the turn signals..

Do you have a photo of the relay? I'm about to scotch lock some buzzer on the indicator wiring itself but changing the relay might be a cleaner way to do it.

Idle Stop Accident

My seat switch doesn't always work so the idle stop didn't work for a whole until I whacked the area where the switch is. However, I'm very cautious if the engine is running not to have my hands on the throttle if I want to push it for whatever reason like getting it off the centre stand

Re: finding led brake bulb

PCXDemon. I don't have a photo of it but this is the seller http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/LED-Motorcycle-Tail-Light-for-HONDA-PCX125-Smoked-Lens-Brake-Only-/221076301758?pt=Motorcycles_Parts_Accessories&hash=item33792ca7be I got the clear version (not this smoked one) and it's as bright as standard...

finding led brake bulb

I went with a full replacement LED e-marked brake taillight from EBay (seller from Taiwan) for $75 shipped. Best results as LED bulb replacement is a hit and miss (more miss than hit)

If you can find aftermarket HS5 bulbs, then you've struck gold.

Question about top case

Just thinking out loud. If stealing the whole box is an issue, what about drilling holes through the topbox and into the base, then put a bolt from the bottom going up through the base and bottom of the topbox and secured by a split pin so it couldn't be unbolted out.

Question about top case

It is after all a glorified plastic box so a hammer would crack it open

Here's mine.

Question about top case

Mine is fixed using the Givi E241 mount on my Coocase. Reason I got the Coocase over the Givi was the brake light system and the remote opening. Although the downside is that the alarm system will draw power out of the battery and it has wiring that you can upgrade (DIY) for brake lights and parking...

Honda PCX - Back from First Ride

Just get a piezo and scotch lock it to the indicator wiring. There's no need to replace the relays nor indicator module.

Re: How To: Install a Trunk

I just fitted my Coocase top box on my bike and I didn't protect the holes from water. Going by the design of the aluminium base where you mount the topbox, it is designed to flow out and under the bike given even the wiring under the bike is exposed to water spray from under the rear wheels.

My view of the chest mount Gopro. Less obvious, less wind drag and effective coverage with the wide angle lens.

Re: HP4M or HP4S motor oil?

I myself will bite the bullet and get the HP4M. There is no JASO MB oil available in Australia at all but at the same time, I think a more frequent change than required (I don't do the 4000km service intervals per 6 months) which will outweigh the benefits of going full synthetics. As they say, it's...

maddiedog, thanks for the reddit link. Looks like rear disc lock was the thief's biggest struggle (short of GPS tracker) but as we know, the PCX doesn't have rear disc. What's our next best thing?

Fork mounted LED DRL

I've got an orange reflector on the fork from standard and wonder if anyone has used this fixed point to mount a LED DRL. There doesn't seem to be many solid lights you can mount sideways that does the job. Anyone tinkered with that idea?

Re: Honda PCX Manual

I bought mine from Ebay and although it was a bit expensive compared to what you guys are talking about, I reckon it's worth it having the knowledge that you can do anything the dealer can. It'd be a good selling tool when it comes to selling the scooter way down the track.
