Re: MPG

I've been averaging right at 68 US mpg, just what honda claims. US and UK mpg are different, I think the UK gallon is not the same as the US gallon. This site converts US mpg to UK mpg: https://www.unitjuggler.com/convert-fuelconsumption-from-mpg-to-mpgimperial.html?val=68 68 US mpg is equal to 81.6...

Re: Annual oil change vs. maintenance interval schedule

My service manual says change the oil at 600 miles (1,000 km) initially, and then every 8000 miles (12,800 km) OR 12 months. So if you don't put that many miles on each year, you should still change it every 12 months.

Re: Forza 300 vs. Kawsaki J300

Only recall I've had on my Forza so far is the fuel pump, no other recalls issued. I've never had any problems with it, not even with the fuel pump, but had it replaced just in case. Now I've had some other scooters in the past, where I never knew if I would make it back home when going for a ride. ...

Re: Honda Forza 300 Second Recall

I've only got 4000 miles on mine so far, but I haven't had any issues with mine yet either. I did take it in for the fuel pump recall since the replacement was free, but I was having no problems with it. This is the 4th scooter I have had and the best. It runs so smooth and quiet, I love it. The oth...

Re: Cleaning belt case air cleaner

Yep, this air cleaner element is just for the belt. The regular air cleaner is inside the air cleaner housing above the left crankcase cover. You need to remove 7 screws to remove the cover to get at the element. This element cannot be cleaned and should be replaced every 12000 miles according to th...

Re: Cleaning belt case air cleaner

The maintenance schedule says to clean the belt case air cleaner element at 4000 miles. No it doesn't, it says do it at 8000 miles. You must have a different service manual than I have. I have the honda service manual and am looking at the maintenance schedule right now. It shows the following at 4...

Cleaning belt case air cleaner

I'm just about at 4000 miles on the forza. The maintenance schedule says to clean the belt case air cleaner element at 4000 miles. The service manual says to use non-flammable or high flash point solvent. Just wondering if anyone has done this and what you used to clean it. Would mineral spirits be ...

Re: Fuel gauge in the red

I found when I reset the Trip A meter it also reset the mpg guage, and it would jump way down to the 30's and stay low for a long time before it would finally get back up into the 60's. Which is exactly as you would expect and shows its working correctly. I don't expect it to stay in the 30's and 4...

Re: Fuel gauge in the red

The guage stays on full for the first 50 some miles. When it first shows empty, there is about a gallon left. I consistently average around 67 mpg, should be able to get about 200 miles on a full tank, but I just reset my Trip B meter everytime I fill up and refill at 160 miles just to be safe. I di...

Re: New speaker

I purchased this speaker and just received it yesterday. Charged it up this morning. I don't have anything with Bluetooth to pair it to, but was just going to see how it works with the fm radio. I found that I have to leave the usb charging cable attached to the speaker when searching for stations a...

Re: Got a new 2014 Forza 300 and Added Accessories

That is strange. Normally, any cracking of the holes or windshield itself is from over tightening the bolts. It didn't crack around the holes or the windshield itself, but the panels around the windshield started to crack. But it had a cheap grille below the windshield and a couple of cheap plastic...

Re: Got a new 2014 Forza 300 and Added Accessories

I had one of the MRA X-creen spoilers on my last scooter I had and it worked great. I was thinking about putting one on the Forza also, but the only problem I had was with my last scooter I think it put a lot more stress on the windshield, and body panels around the base of the windshield where it a...

Re: stuck brake reservoir screw

I had the same thing happen to me with the last scooter I had before the Forza, a Hyosung MS3-250. Got three screws out but the fourth would not budge.
Had to get a GraBit to get it out, almost didn't think I was going to get it out with that at first.

Re: Hello! Forza 300 Quirks

The tank stays on full until about two thirds full. Says empty at one third full. My mpg stays around 68 mpg. So I know how many miles I can get on a full tank. I don't need tripmeter A to tell me how many miles I have left. I use tripmeter A to tell me when my next maintenance is due. Use tripmeter...

Re: Hello! Forza 300 Quirks

And speaking of the "Eco-Meter"; another "quirk" is how, when you've filled up and zero'ed out the Tripmeter, the computer doesn't have enough data to work with, so in mile0.1 you're at 33mpg, and then it jumps to 72 to 75mpg for 12 to 15 miles, then settles down to 66/67 mpg fo...

Re: Honda Forza 125

It probably means it will go 55 on a flat surface. Can't see it going much faster than that, and with the hills around here it definitely wouldn't be highway capable, especially with the way people drive around here. But probably won't be available in the USA anyway.
