I can only give you my experience. Insurance seems to come in to ways. One is almost entirely based on engine size so it can be better at lower cc size - annual premium is literally twice if you move from a 250cc to a 500cc. The other broad strokes method is to be a bit higher at lower engine size but climb less at higher engine size.
To further illustrate if will give you my case. I called my agent who does my house and car. As a newbie rider they quoted me $1,200 for a Forza. I tried State Farm who quoted me for the same bike $800 and I went with them. I enquired about larger bikes as I wanted a second machine of 650cc. State Farm were about $1,800 but my agent for car and house is $1,400. To be fair to State Farm I am told it would be dramatically different if the had my house and car.
Maybe this is all known to you but I put it out here anyway.

I think full coverage on my Forza here in Missouri is right at $400 annual. $200 for the PCX. (Progressive)

If I lived only 25 yards away (other side of the road) mine would be only $500 instead of $800. I get caught in a section of the city which has a high risk profile. It's a city of just over 6 million and I saw something recently where quotes for the same car, driver and driving record ranged from $400 to almost $1,400. Your driving record is much less of a factor than where you live. That's in Canada and I doubt it's a different system anywhere else.

I would call my immediate area small town/semi-rural. Low theft or vandalism and it seems most motorcycle accidents are single vehicle with hilly terrain being a factor and folks going too fast for conditions.

I looked mine up and it as as follows from Progressive. The deductible can make a big difference.

$100 deductible
Roadside assistance

2013 Honda PCX 150 $190
2014 Honda Forza 300 $400

What are your deductibles?

I have $100.00 deductible on my policy. I have been riding Motorcycles for 45 years with no claims. I do not include Medical on me, because I am covered elsewhere. I also do not include Roadside assistance because I have AAA which covers Motorcycles.

Ok Medical and Roadside takes mine down by $135 or $455. Same on driving record. I will have to see if I have that medical doubled up too. The roadside is only $20 of that. I found out that MedPay probably isn't a good thing to drop except in special circumstances.

My insurance broker mentioned all of the reasons I want to keep the med pay. Basically, though, if you have $5k cash ready to payout it shouldn't be necessary.

I thought about going with a $250 deductible. My premium is nearly the same as yours with the 500 deductible.

Guys,

Quoting your insurance payment is an almost completely worthless exercise. Rates change based on dozens of factors, everything down to your zipcode makes a difference. Years ago, my vehicle insurance rates got cut in half when I moved a few miles down the road, because I was now in a 'safer' region of town. So unless you are comparing rates with your identical twin brother who lives in the same house you do, you're not getting any useful information.

Wow man you must be a time traveler to go so far into the future to get that thing before anyone else could.
