Re: PCX mirror stalk removal - simples or so it should be
Having managed to get the bar ends off (by drilling the bar bolts) I then needed to test removal of the mirror stems for subsequent fitting of wind protectors (fix to bar ends and mirror stalks). Both left and right mirrors unscrew clockwise on mine (locking nuts were easy too) but with a small adj...

Re: Rear Brakes issue
There are several places that sell parts fairly inexpensively on the web. One of them is bikebandit.com however you MUST know what your bike looks like as apposed to the 2013 because the 2013 is ENTIRELY different. There is not a 2014 model in the United States, and the 2015 model has LED lights. O...

Did you buy the scooter from new?
Recently have it serviced?
Seems a long time for a manufacturing fault to show itself.

Re: Picking the PCX up tomorrow
My PCX is red with a white tail piece. I can say categorically that this combination of colors in this arrangement and ratio is faster than either red or white unmixed. Hey Zonker, you need to get that fixed. You will have tensile forces building up as the red will want to pull away from the white ...

Re: Holy Crap... Cubs!
Cricket explained ;) You have two sides, one out in the field and one in. Each man that's in the side that's in goes out, and when he's out he comes in and the next man goes in until he's out. When they are all out, the side that's out comes in and the side thats been in goes out and tries to get th...

Re: Bad Smash Up Belmont

Re: Ex PCXer asking for a favour
I have seen the same post on the VFR forum , I have a 750 FV and think the SV650 would be a much better first bike. With the VFR or any other fully faired bike it will be costly if you drop it, which as a newly qualified rider is quite likely.

Re: Winter Clothing and Accessories
I spent 4 years working in Austria and suspect there will be many weeks where you will not be able to ride, no matter what tyres you have. I would use a Theromscud, heated grips, large Givi screen and large handguards. With a thermoscud you should have a good quality textile jacket and then be good ...

Another tip: The screws may look like Philips and for the most part a Philips will work, but they're actually JIS. The geometry is just different enough that you can strip the head on tight fasteners. A set of JIS screwdrivers is worth adding to your toolbox. A fact I should have been aware of befo...

Re: Getting ready for winter
Wow, serious stuff. I am planning to riding my with scoot until there is snow on the streets so I am wondering what is your winter clothing? I have a leather Belstaff jacket or Frank Thomas textile suit. Got a thermoscud which I didn't fit last winter but will this year. The hand guards make so muc...
