Do the local authorities give you any grief for that lighting? I've been looking at these kits for a while on flea-bay.
Definite visibility improvement.

Re: Humpty: De-humped stylishly.
It's held down by two nuts visible from the underside of the seat, just below the "hump". Those two holes you see in the underside of my pix were occupied by said nuts and studs.

AAAAAnd here it is! http://www.hondapcx.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2630 This is an excellent "how-to". I can tell you, you will NOT like the job. Watch out in particular for the little molded hooks on the cover that fits aft and below the steering, in the middle as you look at it from the...

Re: Leaking fuel 2013 150
Yes, in the O.M. I see it has the "clear-flood" procedure of a normal F.I. system. "Open the throttle fully and crank for five seconds", then try a normal start, again.

Re: Removal of Dashboard Meter Panel
There's an excellent "How to disassemble the PCX" in the sticky threads. I'm on a tab at the moment and it's a thorough pain to figure out how to cut and paste.

Re: Leaking fuel 2013 150
I'll look in my manual after work and post back, but generally, on modern cars, holding the throttle fully open while cranking is the procedure to clear a flood. If the cal. is like the cars, the fuel is shut off if the controller sees full throttle at cranking. This gets air through the wet cylinde...

Re: Starting to make sense
I went from an R75 Beemer with a huge, high-carried fuel tank to the PCX. Same rake and trail, WAY easier to handle all around.

$218/year for basic liability from State farm in Wayne county(we're number one!). Too bad they don't offer seasonal policies (any of the companies).

"Short project". Famous last words. Almost every time I give a time frame, Mr. Murphy intervenes to at least DOUBLE that estimate.

Re: Gas to put in my PCX 150
That would explain the "little better-ness" with the higher octane fuel. If the sensor detects knock it pulls out some timing(on a car, up to 6 degrees). At 11 to 1 with poop fuel, there might be some knock, especially in hot, low humidity conditions. With the better fuel, you should see l...

Re: Helmet Cleaning
I generally keep a helmet in service only a couple years or so, sometimes three. I wear a Campy bike cap (with the small visor) backward on my head so that I don't sweat into the padding nearly as much. Any small, cotton cap will do as a liner.

Re: is the pcx 125 engine aluminium ?
Sounds bad. I've welded an aluminium crankcase before. If you intend to weld an area that was in oil, you have to clean it out really well. The piece that I did was a '65 Triumph primary cover. The crank sprocket came apart and blew through it on the track. They walked the track and found every piec...

Isn't it interesting how there's no sign of corrosion? That plating appears intact. No welding apparent in that picture.
Yeah, a bit of anti-sieze should prevent any future trouble.

Re: Sheared bolt - holding rear brake line
This morning, for grins, I put a wrench to that bolt. It was very tightly stuck to the anti-rotation arm on the cable-case bracket, itself, but not locked up in the aluminium case threads. I had to support the arm(as it was really trying to twist) and SNAP, it let go and turned easily out of the cas...

Re: Sheared bolt - holding rear brake line
If it's sheared flush I would drill a 4mm hole in the aluminium tab extending left of the bolt boss and use a cable-tie to anchor the cable. fast, easy, cheap, and effective! The alternative is generally drilling out the last of the bolt and Heli-coiling the hole. Blehhh.
