Re: AzRocketPCX
65mph was GPS verified (actually 64.7) by our chase car during the trip to Sedona. It wasn't just a peak reading, but was a sustained run of about 20 miles between Phoenix & Wickenberg on Highway 60 (very slight uphill, cross wind, heavy 75mph traffic). Most of the body modifications have been ...

Re: Takegawa Pcx 170cc
how much of a difference does the extra 45ccs make? Are you measuring your fuel economy? Im still waiting to put it back in, so at this stage i dont know yet. Takegawa claims 12.5-13hp at the wheel, where i think 150cc has a 11hp at the wheel. Bare in mind thats a mild tune, once i whack in bigger th...

Re: Takegawa Pcx 170cc
Pcx is absolutley not underpowered 125s can be found which output 15bhp, the PCX 125 is under that by quite some way. As i said before ' bar a couple that are more powerful' (xmax 125 and peugeot bla bla-so you say) which are not available in the North/South America,Australia, and f knows where els...

Re: Takegawa Pcx 170cc
Stop being so sensitive and learn to take a friendly leg pull. Anyway, more people will be buying Forzas than tuning bits for PCXs. The Forza is expected to cost circa £4200 in the UK which is admitedly £1600 more than an "underpowerd for its size" PCX, but it's a lot more scooter than an...

Re: PCX Valve Adjustment
considering this is a liquid cooled motor with a rev limiter I just wasn't worried. I didn't waste the money bringing it to a dealer to have a service done, have them break all the plastic tabs and not tell me. I bought the service manual. After about 2 hours of removing plastic i finally got to th...

Another muffler modification I did during this weekend. Check this out... http://i1200.photobucket.com/albums/bb327/daru_hananto/PCX1dan2edit_zpsaf63ef57.jpg I replaced the oem Honda PCX 150 muffler with oem Honda Blade 110 muffler... I don't know about the power change, but I do like the design......

Re: New PCX top speed???
Did you watch all of the video? My Nissan Micra averages 55mpg. Its a normal petrol engine job and cost me much less to buy than a Toyota Pious would have. Half the size , half the performance, only comfortable to the local shop for some groceries stock up or just enough to replace a two wheeler on ...

Re: New PCX top speed???
Turning it back at you, would you not consider that you are just doing the same as me, only with a different viewpoint? I don't doubt for a minute that given enough investment a PCX could be made to do a genuine 80mph, but I have yet to see conclusive proof of it having been done and I don't believ...

which-craft video proof You mean like a video where the speedo indicates 118kph which is proof of being able to do 127kph...? Nope, title says 0-120 not top speed, but in description mentions top speed, however since im recording with handheld device i find it just a bit too risky and dangerous to go ...

Re: New PCX top speed???
The reason I think the ECU limits by speed is, it goes the same top speed on the centerstand at max throttle as it does under load. It's entirely possible it's limited by RPM or another measure though -- I'm by no means a Honda engineer, just a backyard mechanic speculating. My PCX has the same sym...

however in the script below the video says 127kmh with unworn/newish belt so thats what he meant almost 80mph ,im pretty sure... Those numbers are correct, but the evidence is absent. Re: Nobody's PCX
120kph = 74.5mph which isn't "almost 80", given the error built in to the speedo (typically 8%) its really "almost 70" That's a lot of fannying around for an extra 6 mph... Well done! :| 120kmh is 74.5mph ,however in the script below the video says 127kmh with unworn/newish belt...
