Tornado alert.....

Post by fish »

8:45 AM yesterday came out physician's office to see the sky looking like this.
Some roofs and trees ripped up....as the rain front moved through at 55mph.
Blew my truck around pretty good. Happily the appointment kept me off my scooter....as precip was to be only 30% chance.

I imagine it was getting exciting there to the right..

PS: got home, and my goofy teenage daughter was singing merrily away in the shower. Something from Abba. Oblivious.

Wow . . . those pictures bring back some recent memories for me. Last year just about 30 miles away (towards New Haven) they got pounded with a tornado. I remember hearing the Warnings on the TV and went outside to take a look and the sky had that real ominous look to it. o_O

Glad you and your family made it through safely. :D

We live in one of the South's Tornado Alleys. We always have to be mindful of the weather. 30%chance of rain means that 30% of our area will get 100% of the rain.

Wednesday are under a severe weather warning right now - and a tornado watch. I am glad that we have a basement. It comes in handy during tornado warnings. About 10 years ago we had a tornado bounce around right across the street, run down the street, bounce over our area and hit the next County (which is a mile away).
