Kind of Makes you think about how he was able to renew his license. I would not want to be on the same road as that guy!

Re: Parking problem - how is this possible!
Witnessed this 2 days ago in my coffee village:
Very senior male driver, head down & using his L forearm on the wheel to help him sit upright - attempted to back his Crown Vic in - & parallel park.
Problem #1: a small sedan was already parked in the space.
#2: as he angled in, his right rear corner contacted the left headlight of the parked car
#3: not understanding why his car was stopped - he accelerated - squealing his tires - and drove the parked car backwards & sideways, up onto the sidewalk
#4: a young boy was exiting the parked car from the right rear door - and was flung backwards into me when struck by his open door.*
Fortunately youngsters are flexible - and he was sort of ATTGAT'd in a heavy coat with hood up.
While we were taking care of the boy & his mother (lots of wailing from both) - the old guy drove off.....but a pedestrian got him on cell video!
It could have been much worse, as the mother had just walked around the front of her car.
* yeah, I was taking a photo when the kid rolled into me

20 mins later, on my ride home, a 35 yr old female rocketed past me, illegally. Just seconds later she crested a hill & tore off the nose of a Jeep with her Accord projectile at a stop sign. I parked my Piaggio, did my Army medic thing with the drivers. No injuries.
At my limit with stupid drivers for one morning - I revisited the lady sitting in her Accord, sideways in the ditch and farm fence ---- locked eyes with her and shook my head at her stupidity.
Waited on my scooter, then gave the deputy my input on her speed and lane behavior.

Boy do you get your share of ENTERTAINMENT...ok, not so much entertainment as life threatening events.
I hop that took down the license plate number of the Crown Vic and presented it to the police when they arrived. They did arrive, didn't they?
We only have those types of days on Wednesdays normally. Old folks who no longer have a license or those they forgot to Take The license away from...
They are too blind and slow now and shouldn't be allowed near a car, but they get their hands on one anyway.

Five motorcycle fatalities this month in my locale ..Two up failing to negotiate a curve 4AM hit tree RIP.. Another went right through a stop sign 2AM and went into a ditch RIP. One woman making a left turn into oncoming traffic RIP.. and another woman on a Harley making a left turn into oncoming traffic RIP.. (Must be related to the other woman). A motorcyclist somehow hit a pedestrian walking.. RIP ??? Must be a virus going around !or artificial intelligence mixed with alcohol??? who knows.
