Re: well she almost broke down on me
Let us see the spark plug please, don't clean it or try to repair it. Get up close and focused on the electrode. You didn't install one of the new iridium plugs did you? You can easily damage those by trying to gap them. They come pre gapped and the fragile iridium tip will snap off if YOU gap it before you install.eggman wrote:started running bad in way home hardly made it home i check plug and it looks it looks smashed. what do you think happened

Someone probably had the wrong tool and mangled it up when installing it.
Is the porcelain cracked?

Put a new one in and make sure there is nothing wrong with it before you do. Note the date and mileage on the machine when you performed the replacement.
I've had plugs get cracked porcelain. . .either from old age and high mileage or not being careful when I installed them. I've also had a couple of spark plugs literally almost fall apart internally. It's like the terminal moved within the body frame of the plug (sliding action). Faulty mfg. from the start I think. Wasn't on a motorcycle though. . .. I thought Geezzzz they don't make stuff like they used to anymore.

Does it matter? Whip it out, put a new one in and see what happens. Then get on the keyboard and let us know how it went.eggman wrote:started running bad in way home hardly made it home i check plug and it looks it looks smashed. what do you think happened
