Fellow St Louis Peeps help pls

Post by gail314 »

I'm rapidly moving towards my 600 mile oil change/maintenance.

Can I ask who you guys are using? Are you going back to your dealer or doing it yourself?

I'm a little OK a lot intimidated to do it myself.

Help? Opinions? Ideas.

What's a girl to do? lol :?
My scoots: 2012 Piaggio Typhoon 125

2013 Honda PCX 125

Unless you get it Honda approved serviced and your service book stamped I am pretty sure you would invalidate your 2 year warranty.

^ That is the case in the UK, but in the US, you can do the service yourself or have any reputable place do it. As long as you have receipts, it's irrelevant.

Warranty laws in the USA protect the consumer heavily, rather than the company.

Back on topic, in case no one is from your area, I did some quick research for you. It looks like there's a bunch of Honda dealers that stock scooters near you: http://powersports.honda.com/dealers/se ... TORSCOOTER

A quick check on Yelp shows 3 of those retailers. Donelson Cycles had the best reviews, Big St Charles had a bad review and 2 good ones, and Chesterfield Valley Power Sports had one bad review. All the other dealers on Honda's site had no Yelp reviews, which doesn't mean too much, it just means no one has gone online to say good or bad things about them. That either means they're good (no reason to give mediocre reviews most of the time) or just new, or that their customers aren't necessarily tech-saavy. :)

In the UK you don't have to get it done by a Honda dealer, just by a VAT registered business.

Bobby Carver is a great guy, a great mechanic, and is passionate about scooters. My scoot is in good hands with him.

He is close to downtown on Gravois near Jefferson
