My old seat from Bikerzbitz got ripped through an accident done by a friend, to replace it was not much more than the repair, so I ordered up a new design. Verdict: the microfiber sections keep you from sliding around, and you are planted....I like it, lotsa cushion....
This is seat #18 from their site:

Looks nice , but it limits repositioning your ass after long ride. I like to slide back on the seat and stretch my legs a bit more on a long run.

I have had a similar model for 4 years and have never regretted swapping it out.

The seat bucket is far enough back that you have plenty a room of your legs ....I'm 6'2 and not cramped at all. When you measure the stock seat, the bucket is even farther back than the hump on the stocker.
It would not be on the bike if it jammed me up, and my rides are always less than 15 miles.

Nice Glen So your friend's mishap was a blessing. You're happier now That Worked!
I know you know, that We both have (almost) the same seat. With the exception of where your microfiber panels are. I agree, after riding on it I would prefer to have your non-slide panels on the sides, but Not on the nose of the seat. For the reason of Looks alone, nothing more.
As a comparison, here are 2 pics taken of my stock seat and my shiny replacement #18.
Glen had one exactly the same as mine in the pic until the mishap.
Interested in switching your own stock seat out? Think about the fabric you want, it affects your comfort. Note the size difference as well. Big Bum/Smaller Bum, its' Gotcha covered!
Sexy Saddle, right?

Re: New seat today.....
I designed my own seat using gel pad and foam . I removed the hump did some carving on the interior plastic and I also used the cheeky seat cover which added additional padding. I felt more comfort without the limiting back rest on the original seat. This design is amazingly comfortable for me as I can reposition without any obstruction. This works for me but others I am sure like the hump and /or backrest. Just another option to share.
