PCX 125 brake pads

Post by PCX_Erik »

I have a 2011 PCX with almost 19K miles and I'm wondering when I should have my front pads replaced. They don't squeal and I can still stop. When would be a good time to have them replaced? Also, what are good pads?

I never change brake pads by km, but when they run out - or if I feel a need for an upgrade.
Some use brembo pads, I personally prefer EBC as it is available where I live. My choice is to run sintered pads as they have great stopping power, and don't dust.

The best way to know is to inspect the pads and see if they are near, up to, or past the wear marks. The wear mark is a notch on the side of the pad. I wish I had my manual on me to give you the wear limit, but the original pads will have a wear mark on them.

As has been suggested, replace them with sintered pads rather than organic. They will last longer.
