I can't help you with the box--I have one but it is nothing like yours--except it's a big one too. I can sahy this, it is worth trying to fix it. Those big carriers increase the usefulness of the scooter by hundreds of percentage points.

Re: back box getting fixed....unable to lock
It almost sounds like this box was torn off of a bike. The lock doesn't work and the wiring fitting is missing?? Did you buy this box from someone?
If I had that box, I could fix it. No doubt. I can fix just about anything. However, without the box in hand I can not give you much advice. If you have the key, see if it can lock with it not being on the bike. Move it around until the parts are lined up. Then check to see how the lock works, so that you can try to get the parts to work together. You have to watch the mechanism to see what happens. If it is broken, you can come up with a different way of locking it, but first see if you can makeep the current one work. It may be something similar please such as the plastic top is not aligned correctly any more.
