I saw this and wondered why all scooter couldn't be made like this one with the flip up body to service scooter!

If they could make it sturdy enough to hold the usual weight limit and not wiggle or creek, that'd be handy.

Good question. Part of the answer might be that bikes like the PCX (not easy to service) and made by a company that has a vast network of dealerships making their money largely by what they charge for servicing the bikes they sell. I would imagine that if Honda made too many machines designed for easy maintenance, a lot of these dealerships would quickly go down.

Do you know the make and model of this bike. Is it a Honda? Is it 50cc ?

Looks like a Honda Elite/Lead 110.

Well that make sense. Beats the snot out of 1.5 hr of plastic fa-didling to do a simple task.

Add some compressed air and a parachute and you have an ejector seat.

DA .... acceptable design

My old Cushman Road King was like that. The whole body came off with just two 1/2 inch bolts. Experienced Cushman hands such as yours truly would do a little precision machine work and slot out the bolt holes with a hacksaw so you could remove the body just by lifting it up off the bolts. That way, if you were, say, at a traffic light and needed to get to the engine for a critical tuning procedure before the light changed, you could do it without a wrench.

The body never fell off, either. Of course the fact that it weighed about eighty pounds may have helped keep it in place.
