320 miles, wet bum, but fun

Post by pony »

Thought i would let you all know about my recent trip from cheltenham to a place by snowdon in wales.

I had a lovely ride on my PCX 125, in the sun and over the hills in wales.
About a 4 hour ride and my little bike did well, keeping up with the traffic and coping well with the hills.

I had a fun weekend by the sea, and then it was time to come home (another four hour ride).

Then the rain started, and it was dark and cold.
I did take two pairs of waterproof trousers, and i put both pairs on, but i still managed to get a wet bum, as it rained cats and dogs.

But it was still a fun weekend, good job i put a carrier bag around my sat nav to keep it dry.

At last the wet bum was on the way home.
I think the hump and the seat shape have a lot to answer for.
It forms a pool which can seep through moistening one's khyber.
Which reminds me, I need to give my breeks a waterproofing treatment after my sheugh got a wee bit damp during a thunderstorm recently.

Wow 4 hours each way 8) and in the rain gittin' a wet bum! I'd never make it 4 hours straight with my bad back....cripes I'd be hurting big time! Good for you pony, too bad it rained though.

I need to get some wet gear too. I don't have any, so I generally arrived soaked if I'm caught in the rain.

I've heard good things about Frogg Toggs raingear, I might ask for some for Christmas.
