Looks like another weiner, I mean winner, from Honda. Will it hold a bucket of KFC under the seat? :D

Can it be any worse than that bat wing thingy they did?

Hopefully not.

Yes.
At least the batmobile has a half decent fairing and a comfy seat.

Two things...
1. The elderly person beige is a lighting artifact and it looks better in its real silver color

2. It kinda resembles the BMW C600/650 that my husband has been eying wistfully, although BMW does it better.

Good observation. I wonder how well the bottom is protected? It appears to have decent ground clearance. Strange but this bike may cover more riding styles than any to date. It even has built in storage like a scooter. I wonder if it I good at anything though. It appears it has the DCT transmission. An urban cowboy? :P

Just noticed the restyled (and boosted to a 750) 2015 T-Max from Yamaha...

I'm guessing that the T-Max would call to my husband more
(but I'm often wrong about such things).

I asked the husband and I was wrong.

He's old school and this (a Honda CB1100) is calling to him.

Yeah I've had my eye on those as well - I love the look and concept! However I don't think they sold well and Honda's USA site still only lists the 2013 and 2014 model years so it may have been discontinued already. I still see some at local dealers heavily discounted. I wish they had made the new for 2014 deluxe model in black - the new dual pipes and stitched seat look awesome - but the deluxe only comes in red.

Yes, I was worried that it could be discontinued before he's ready to get one.

They still had one at the local dealer when I was getting my PCX. It's good to know that they are being discounted.

The picture shows the first version.
Later ones have wire wheels and four into two exhausts.
Fairly typical UJM, pretty bland fare.

Personally, I think they look a bit out of proportion because the engine is too big.
But that's probably a guy thing. :P :)

But not as pretty as the originals, like the one restored here

Reminds me of the modern Vespas...
Perhaps it would be no tragedy if they were gone before he was ready.

Honda CB550 and Yamaha SR400 are really pretty bland fare indeed.
The CB550 was extremely boring when compared with the strokers of the time and the SR4/500 was initially an unreliable p.o.s. but evolved into the legendary XT500 and the simply stunning SRX-6.

My brother had a Honda CB550 and toured the USA on it. It was not that comfortable, though he put a passenger backrest on it and then attached all of his camping gear which gave him something to lean back on. Still, the shocks were terrible, and after all day on that bike his back really ached.
Currently own:

Givi tall windshield & tailbox - Lots of extra lights
Custom seat from Thailand - Bad Boy Airhorn
Takegawa Lowering Shocks - Michelin City Grip Tires
