PCX stopped working and now wont start

Hi all,

My pcx 150 broke down on me this morning.

I was stopped at a traffic light and the idle stop kicked in, when the lights turned green the engine failed to start back up. And I still haven't been able to get her to start up since. The lights on the dash are all working like normal.

I've ridden the last few days with no issues at all until this morning.

Any ideas?

As we wait for upper echelon maintenance to offer suggestion for this unfortunate event lets look on the bright side. A lorry didn't come screaming up through that green light from behind you and squash you like a bug. Is there any way you guys can override that feature?

Pull the plug and see if you got spark, sudden shut off can be electrical.

Did you hit the switch to disable the idle-stop feature? If not, maybe that will help if you do hit that switch. Also, did you accidentally hit the kill switch by any chance? We don't have idle-stop in USA but from what I've seen the disabling switch for idle-stop is very close to the kill switch so maybe you got them mixed up?

A bit off-topic, but I find it weird that Honda wouldn't give me idle-stop feature on my USA PCX but yet they did put it in my car (CR-Z) but WITHOUT the ability to disable it

PCX 150 with idle-stop - must be a european model - were you the one that imported one into the UK or are you in the EU? Could be battery, could be flooded (worth trying the flooded procedure in the manual).

Do you have power ? ie head lights

If so do the lights dim or go out when you try to start?

What type of riding? Lots of stop/start?

Won't start as in turns over but won't fire or simply does not turn over?

I believe, at least here in Thailand, on current models that idle-stop is automatically disabled if the battery drops below a certain level. Why? To avoid what you have experienced!

What modell is your bike ?
2010?
2012 or 2014 ?
There are 3 generations of PCX modells and same different from country to country.
I believe it'electricall problem perhaps dead or weak battery.
