"high mileage" is a matter of degrees really. A well maintained engine with regular use is preferable to an engine that has spent a lot of time sitting collecting dust due to rubber deterioration and such. Personally, I'd look for something with less than 2000 miles (3200 km). But then I'd check for signs of rubber decay, excessive tire wear, rust, and so on. I'd also check for cracked plastics that indicate a crash or slide. Definetly do a test ride and watch for any odd noises, wobbles and the like. A peek inside the CVT and airbox is also a good idea to check the state of the v-belt, the for Check the bearings, etc. If the seller will allow it, a trip to a trusted scooter/bike mechanic for a thorough look over is recommended. Yeah, tell me what is considered high mileage for these scooters, the 125cc model? And anything specific to look out for to avoid
running up high costs to repair or service?
