Why is a 2015 150 pcx going slower then my 2011 125
I just got a used 2015 pcx with 2800 miles on it and it only goes 60-61 MPH , this is unbelievable and hazardous on the freeway to me , I have a 2011 that went 62-63 when I got it and I put the same gram weights as a 150 has and it goes 65-67 mph , and that's pretty exceptable on the freeway to me, how is this possible a 150 esp is being beaten by a 125 , heck I had a Piaggio fly 150 the went 78 mph ,,

The '15 150 PCX is limited to about 63mph top - something to do with a change in gearing so it's worse than the '13 models by about 4-5 mph. Reported on this fourm many times, but one link is:

Your dealer or the the Honda literature should not have given you false hope.

Poor gearing. If you're doing frequent freeway riding, I'd get a motorcycle or step up to a Forza or Burgman. PCX isn't comfortable on the freeway unless you mod the hell out of it.

Piaggio is notorious with over optimistic speedo...that 78 would have been 65 gps at most..MaLLoc wrote:I just got a used 2015 pcx with 2800 miles on it and it only goes 60-61 MPH , this is unbelievable and hazardous on the freeway to me , I have a 2011 that went 62-63 when I got it and I put the same gram weights as a 150 has and it goes 65-67 mph , and that's pretty exceptable on the freeway to me, how is this possible a 150 esp is being beaten by a 125 , heck I had a Piaggio fly 150 the went 78 mph ,,
