FINALLY putting a stop to the nightly fear of letting my dogs out without patrolling the yard. This one was hard to lure into a trap. Well he went for tuna and now he gets on with a new life of stinking up someone else's neighborhood.

How many miles away do you think because I have found whistle pigs and raccoons to migrate back from 3-5 miles and then its really tough to get them back in a trap.

He'll make it back up to 10 miles. But you don't have to worry...if you see one skunk, there are already 9 others. The weird thing is that the skunks are somewhat friendly. Their immediate instinct is not to spray humans. Your dogs are a different story. The skunk knows they are not going to be friendly.

Over 10 miles for this one today, if there are more it won't take long for my dogs to tangle. It's the right size for the one I see at night with a spot light so I can be hopeful its over. Nothing like putting the dogs out at 3am only to have them get skunked and dealing with that for the rest of the morning. Last time it was on a Saturday night so they had to wait until Monday for treatment
I truck nuisance critters off because if you call the city you get a lecture with the removal. Those PITA (pain in the ass) folks will talk about the animal losing its home and potential family, their nest and babies and how would I feel about that and then I have to say pull my finger... it's all bad.

Got an air gun homie? No. Maybe you can borrow one from a peep over on the air gun thread. They got all kinds of big bangs over there! Be careful, one super blast at 3am will wake the dead. So put on a silencer!
Are you kidding? I couldn't shoot anything. Although, I did want to shoot a "pocket gopher" that continuously destroyed my Florida property. And I mean destroy it! He'd actually stare me in the eye as if to say, "tuff crap!" I set poison in many of his tunnels as well as traps and battery operated beeping devices. You're right! It costs a lot to get rid of critters. One day he disappeared, but that "one day" took a Year to come!
