2015 fuel tank in 2013

Post by kcpcx »

Anyone know if this is possible? Will the 2015 tank fit a 13? Probably too early for anyone to have tried it, but curious.

IIRC, it's shaped differently. Although possible to make fit, it won't be a direct bolt in replacement.

An extra .5 gallons (~50 miles) doesn't seem worth the headache of dissembling the entire scooter.

Thanks for the link. Had not seen that thread. I didn't realize they built the entire scooter around the fuel tank. Kind of like how Volvo built the entire car around the air conditioning evaporator on the 850 models.

This is one thing I like about my traditional motorcycle compared to the PCX. Easier to work on the standard bike for the home mechanic. The scooter is kind of a PITA by comparison.

Probably not worth it. If you really needed the range, just throw an MSR fuel bottle in the cargo compartment.
