Mirrors from Taiwan

Post by homie »

These mirrors come in black, white, chrome & 9 other colors, even crazy orange. I like these but they are higher priced for scooter mirrors at 50 bucks.

no but I was going to take these dimensions out and compare to the stock PCX ones to get a pretty good idea.

Using the specs they would silhouette something like this. I'm curious because of the effort to produce these in Taiwan and the elaborate color choice provided. Perhaps our scoots were targeted for this aftermarket (smaller) designed mirror. I need to know they clear the wind screen with that low profile before I order. Of course I would have to go with white 8) but chrome looks bad ass.

They would swing free and clear, I think these might take the Obama ears off Shay Whitey! Adding them to my X-mass wish list.

At a glance we appear to have a 10mm bolt up on 2015 PCX and the kit comes with both 8 and 10mm bolts. So yes plug and play hehe.

What the heck! why only 3 bucks on flee bay. Oh they are from China, not Taiwan whats the difference ROFL

From the Amazon review :

"They look gorgeous on my motorcycle, but when I ride my bike, the mirrors vibrate so much that I can't see clearly what is on my rear"

The one and only review, not enough to dismiss given the way some of these single cylinder scooters shake.

It also says... Because of the small dimensions of the mirror glass, this product must only be fitted for racing or show purposes. Maybe don't give Taiwan 50 bucks but give China 17.00 for the same set.

I like the look of them but will stick with what I have because riding in Bangkok I rotate the mirror 180° so that they don't stick out quite as far. Every inch (cm) counts when riding between cars that are stopped at the intersections. Motorcycles just squeeze between them to the front of the line. It is totally crazy, but that is how it is done there.

yes... and we are considering allowing this cluster *%^# in Chicago. If people didn't like cyclist before they certainly aren't going to like a Harley thumping up between their autos. I don't see how chaos like this makes for friendly traffic experience, but hey you know I will do it if they let me o_O

Driving a car is quite the experience too. If you want over to the next lane all you have to do is get your bumper a little ahead of the guy beside you and then start drifting over and he will typically let you in without any hassle, unlike my US and Canadian experiences where if you try that, road rage is sure to ensue.

It's not real high, especially when I hear of the prices in places like the UK, but basic liability coverage is real cheap. I pay the equivalent of about $10-$15 (£6-£9) per year ... yup, you read that correctly ... per year.

I see a HUGE problem between Chicago traffic altercations and the courteous "my bumper is ahead of your bumper" in civilized countries. I don't think it has a snow balls chance in becoming law given we are armed and pissed most of the time in rush hour traffic.

A Judge! It would be a sticky here too. Too many soccer moms on cell phones and texting and they still hold the phones in Missouri. I watch in the rear view mirrors a lot to see if they are texting instead of braking at stop lights. :x

What round does the Taurus fire? The cylinder looks really long.
