From Blair Cook ISP president: ( ISP is a Ministry of Campus Crusade)
Dear All,
I have received these two emails from our missionary friends, one yesterday and one this morning. I just wanted to pass it on so that as many people as possible can pray specifically for our brothers and sisters. Much love and blessings. Blair
A friend just got a text message from her brother asking her to shower him and his parish in prayer. He is part of a mission and ISIS has taken over the town they are in today. He said ISIS is systematically going house to house to all the Christians and asking the children to denounce Jesus. He said so far not one child has. And so far all have consequently been killed. But not the parents. The UN has withdrawn and the missionaries are on their own. They are determined to stick it out for the sake of the families - even if it means their own deaths. He is very afraid, has no idea how to even begin ministering to these families who have seen their children martyred. Yet he says he knows God has called him for some reason to be his voice and hands at this place at this time. Even so, he is begging prayers for his courage to live out his vocation in such dire circumstances. And like the children accept martyrdom if he is called to do so. She asked me to ask everyone we know to please pray for them. These brave parents instilled such a fervent faith in their children that they chose martyrdom. Please surround them in their loss with your prayers for hope and perseverance.
She was able to talk to her brother briefly by phone. She didn't say it but I believe she believes it will be their last conversation. Pray for her too. She said he just kept asking her to help him know what to do and do it. She told him to tell the families we ARE praying for them and they are not alone or forgotten -- no matter what. Her e mail broke my heart. Please keep all in your prayers. Thanks
This came this morning... Just a few minutes ago I received the following text message on my phone from Sean M. who leads Crisis Relief International (CRI). We then spoke briefly on the phone and I assured him that we would share this urgent prayer need with all of our contacts.
"We lost the city of Queragosh (Qaraqosh). It fell to ISIS and they are beheading children systematically. This is the city we have been smuggling food too. ISIS has pushed back Peshmerga (Kurdish forces) and is within 10 minutes of where our CRI team is working. Thousands more fled into the city of Erbil last night. The UN evacuated it's staff in Erbil. Our team is unmoved and will stay. Prayer cover needed!"
Please pray sincerely for the deliverance of the people of Northern Iraq from the terrible advancement of ISIS and its extreme Islamic goals for mass conversion or death for Christians across this region. May I plead with you not to ignore this email.
Do not forward it before you have prayed through it. Then send it to as many people as possible. Send it to friends and Christians you may know. Send it to your prayer group. Send it to your pastor and phone him/her to pray on Sunday during the service - making a special time of prayer for this. We need to stand in the gap for our fellow Christians.

Re: Unbelieveable...
These ISIS creeps are sick in the head. It is one thing to be a missionary for your religion, but it is another thing all together when ANYONE kills children, especially in the brutal way they are killing them. These people have gone from fanatics to psychopaths! You can bet that i will pray, but if the missionaries are killed we know that God will be with them upon their arrival. As for the psychopaths, there isn't anyone good waiting for them on the other side, so i hope someone sends them to a building that gets bombed by our planes!

Re: Unbelieveable...
There are no words for the images I see in my head tonight. I want to do things to these animals that would rival the pits of hell. There is so much hate coming our way and I wish it would hurry up and get here. I will pray but it's not enough, there simply comes a time to kill. The cry to heaven will become so great HE will come if they keep it up. I wish the hell I was back in uniform and not just an angry citizen waiting for them to demand I deny Christ so I can put a bullet in their heads.

Re: Unbelieveable...
I understand how convoluted our role is in the middle east. I also don't agree with our government when it sticks its nose into their politics. However, killing children is wrong in every way, no matter who is on what side. I know that our country sticks its nose, politically, into the business in the middle east because of oil too. If our country spent as much time and energy into finding an alternate energy source, we would not be as involved in the middle East as we are. Still, killing for the sake of killing is wrong, whether it be in the middle east, Africa, or Central America. We can't be the World's police, but if we are asked to help stop the killing, then we can't turn a blind eye either. The ISIS wants to bring back the violence that went away after the Crusades. We, as a modern world, have a conscience. These people do not. Who will protect children if we, as a concerned world, do not?

Re: Unbelieveable...
Uncivilized acts of horror against little Christian children... nothing else matters now. This should be all it takes to unleash the worlds mightiest war machine against ISIS. Their God doesn't help them and they will line up to die for their dilution. So be it, if the good Muslims can't find it their scripture to counter, condemn or even give a good argument against ISI behavior... get out of harms way brother because Christians have a time tested and proven script.
But we knew that, just didn't want all this coming down in our lifetime right. Christians know how this ends, just have to fight through a lot of hell to get there. Choose your side put your house in order and snuggle in for a long fight. The world will clash hard over a holy war and America will engage sooner than later. If this president won't engage the next one will.

No words are adequate enough to respond to this...and yes for humanity we need to go in and fight this..there is now no choice in my opinion.
BUT when will we in the west learn...like him or hate him Saddam had his world under control..but. Under the lie of “weapons of mass destruction“ but in reality oil we moved in under the decision of the two “Bs“ and so we end up in this situation....And when are the two “Bs“ to be held to account for their actions?
All of that is secondary to us now helping the children suffering and caused by our actions.

Re: Unbelieveable...
I would respectfully invite you to stop blaming America for destiny, we are the facilitators... mentalities like these are to be expose, challenged and inevitable destroyed. This was coming to a head with or without a Bush or Obama. This stuff is written and all the heads in the sand, political correctness and even praying for peace will not stop that east gate from opening one day. I'm sorry the Christians find themselves in an I told you so position, but this ultimately is the sick and twisted war they have been promised. Now that its upon them the only satisfaction is to know that it will draw the lines of battle clearer than any other world war. We will know thy enemy and his name is Lucifer.dergav wrote:No words are adequate enough to respond to this...and yes for humanity we need to go in and fight this..there is now no choice in my opinion.

dergav, it's an alarming planet right now. Everything is escalating and cooler heads most likely will not prevail this time. Assault on all fronts, completely unimaginable scenarios unfolding daily around the world that defy common sense. These things come as no surprise to Christians... some will be sad, some will be glad and some will be down right MAD!
Re: Unbelieveable...
Um actually, we went into Iraq because Sadaam, who had a history of gassing millions of his own people was building massive underground facilities and kept denying access to the UN inspectors. If we went there for oil, we would have the oil.
The world could not afford to wait for the next terrorist attack coming right on the heels of a bunch of Muslim terrorists crashing planes, murdering over 3000 innocent people, shutting down the airline industry and nearly bankrupting the world economy.

While the situation with ISIS is not at all a good situation, one cannot necessarily believe every email is totally true. This is especially true in an election year (but I am certainly thankful that I live where they actually have elections that are more or less valid. I just wish people could see through "big money" spreading lies and innuendo, and fear-mongering in general).
OTOH, when religious extremists of any ilk take "God's Will" into their own hands, it is actually "Evil" that has the upper hand.

Re: Unbelieveable...
AustinPCX..Hello...Firstly.. at least you and I live where we can express opinions and differ without concern for our lives...and for that we are no doubt thankful.
When I mentioned "oil" what I was meaning was not the ownership of the oil but protection of the Oil Companies interests .I believe that was the driving force behind the decisions taken by the West....money... There were no weapons of mass destruction, as we had been assured by our leaders and their "intelligence" experts, and as being the reason we were given in the UK for the invasion. By removing Saddam we took the lid of the bottle and the present situation is the result.I was no supporter of Saddam and his methods of dealing with his people which were abhorrent but that was not the reason for the invasion..( but I am also no supporter of many countries we in the West are friendly with and whose records on human rights are deplorable today...but we turn a blind eye to that for economic ( money) reasons). What I fail to understand is why our intelligence services did not see what the result of removing Saddam would be prior to acting....but we have now to deal with this....
and I believe in the power of prayer as I know from personal experience its success...so we all need to do that...but we also need intervention and quickly....and in all of that I respect everyones views....regards.

Re: Unbelieveable...
Dergav, The fact that we didn't find weapons of mass destruction is irrelevant. Sadaam wanted the world to believe he had them. That and his his history of murdering millions was enough justification. That is undeniable fact, no proof whatsoever about your claims, just your opinion.

Re: Unbelieveable...
AustinPCX..of course it is only an opinion...The interests will ensure no proof is ever available....but are we to believe that the combined knowledge of the Intelligence services of the USA and the UK got it all wrong and were hoodwinked by Saddam? Others can believe that if they wish but I don't ...not for a second...It was a convenient excuse to go after Saddam (the person) .. (in my opinion) ...but no matter.... we now have to face the consequences of the actions because we did not work out in advance what would happen after Saddam....ie what is happening now .....and if you are correct in the justification for the invasion including him murdering millions of his people why stop at Saddam? what about all the other despots around the world who are busy murdering as many people than Saddam ever did..

Re: Unbelieveable...
Rather than all of us arguing about the merits of invading the middle east, why don't we all agree to disagree and move forward. Everything in life happens for a reason, though we do not know what the reason is. Killing children, whether in the middle east or elsewhere in this world, is not something any sane person would accept. If this action is indeed happening, we need to pray for the children. There isn't much more that we as individuals can do right now. Let's do it with due diligence and leave the rest to Him.

Re: Unbelieveable...
It's Ok Mel... shrouds are some of his best work. What's interesting is even if derelicts were posing as Missionaries spreading reports like this and media continued to ignore or verify such horror it won't be long before they have no choice. The killing of Christian children circulars are effective and ISIS will see this and note how it would further their cause to do exactly this to bring the fight. They have no intension of just conquering a few Arab countries and purging Christians then sitting down and calling it a day. The world will bow to their beliefs before they stop. Further more I'm much more interested in some of the Godless countries like China in the coming world war, the Dragon is an awesome presence and you have to be wondering about the Hindu nation and their roll to play. War and rumors of war, progress, forward motion, but you and I know most will pretend it's not happening.
FBI picked up a neighbor of mine at O'Hare last Saturday on his way to soldier for ISIS. I would imagine he drove by my lawn a few times and saw this, it's been up since they started routing Christians. He confessed to conflict with paying taxes that went to support the US military. He needed to make his mark for the Holy War. Don't kid yourself they are among us now, frustrated and willing. Pakistani store owner on the corner gives me a nod when they come in "these are the ones you need to watch he says" He recognizes them I can't, they look the same to me
