Humpless Seat from Powered byPCX
Finally our seats arrived!
The humpless seat.
Underside
New humpless seat on right. Notice upholstery is neater on new seat.
Removing seal to relocate, as instructed on this forum, to my new seat.
Removing and relocating hinge.
Complete.
Go to the bank on scoots.
Took a 20 mile ride and would have to say the seats are way better the Hump Seats. Glad we did the switch!

If you look through the pictures you can see the new seat does remove the hump mounting points.surf61 wrote:can you tell me if they remove the two plastic mounts where the hump bolts on

Urbanfreestyle is correct. Thank God they removed the mounting points! View underside photo and all that is left is the holes.Urbanfreestyle wrote:If you look through the pictures you can see the new seat does remove the hump mounting points.surf61 wrote:can you tell me if they remove the two plastic mounts where the hump bolts on

Re: Humpless Seat from Powered byPCX
YES!! Congrats on your New seats, they look so much better than the stock ones! The box did it's job, but it looks like it fought hard to make it. I always worry about an items condition when it finally arrives. Packing is really important, especially when the journey is long. Enough of that talk!!

Back to saddle,....CHEERS may they bring you Miles of Smiles and Cushie Tushies!!

Re: Humpless Seat from Powered byPCX
Just got back from a 36 mile ride and the seats are great! Cushie Tushies is what we got!
We ordered our seats on June 12th and they arrived on our door step July 10th. Longer then we expected. But, Happy to have them.

Re: Humpless Seat from Powered byPCX
Steph, I have to ask if you think they'd be better for a *really* long trip. I did almost 200 miles yesterday through NJ's Pine Barrens (where Jimmy Hoffa and some Soprano's characters are allegedly buried ). My butt was *aching* at the end of the day, and I'd love to know if these humpless seats are the way to go.

Do they seem cushier? DO they have more foam? Or is it *only* that there's no hump, and otherwise it's the same.
Beyond that, I'll probably have to get some cushion accessory and remove the hump myself.
Thanks!

I've heard a lot of good things about the Airhawk cushions. One of those might solve all your comfort issues.dustin91 wrote:Beyond that, I'll probably have to get some cushion accessory and remove the hump myself.

It's any expensive farmer Giles cushion. Useful if you are travelling around the world on yer GS. Bit silly on a cheap scooter
Unless you do have botty grapes when I'm sure it's worth it weight in Unusol

Re: Humpless Seat from Powered byPCX
We have 2 different seats from powerbypcx, one of which is very similar to the ones you bought, except it has a wider seat. (It reminded me of a fat seat, which drew me to it.) I bought it so that I could stretch my legs while I ride. The seat is very comfortable. It should be because it cost me $200, which included shipping. However, after 5 major back surgeries my back does not work well without some kind of back rest. It gets tired and that causes me major problems, so I absolutely have to have a seat like Dave has. I need to contact his friend and ask if I can pay him to get one like Dave's except with red stitching. I don't know what I am going to do with the new seat I have though. Maybe I can offer it for half price to someone on this forum. Here it is.

Second dibs! PM me if you are interested in unloading. No bidding wars though... Ratster did see it first!
And yes, I did just fill up my Amazon cart with a couple pads and cushions, including an Airhawk. I did 200 miles yesterday with a few breaks throughout, and couldn't sit still the last 20 or so. Hopefully one of those pads or cushions will fix it.

Well, I have to take care of getting a replacement first before I give it up, so I will let both of uou know when that has been accomplished.

Re: Humpless Seat from Powered byPCX
The seat is padded like original but without the hump. That's really the only difference. What i find to be an improvement is that I can slide back a little. And in the event of hitting a bump or pot hole my @$$ doesn't land on the hump.dustin91 wrote:Steph, I have to ask if you think they'd be better for a *really* long trip. 200 miles is a long ride and my @$$ would have been sore too. Not sure if there is a seat out there to keep your butt from getting sore on a 200 mile ride.
Personally I thinks our scoots look better with the new seats.

Re: Humpless Seat from Powered byPCX
Thanks for the info. I should be getting 3 or 4 pads/cushions to try out this week, and will let everyone know my thoughts on them. I only want one that works well enough to make those long rides more sufferable. I only get uncomfortable around the 100 mile mark without a break, and if there's something out there that costs under $100 and makes a difference, I'd rather do that than invest in another seat.

I need advice on this humpless seat. I rode all day a week ago and now have a very sore arse and cannot sit easily. It is bad. I have to find a seat that works or sell the PCX. Please advise. I will read on.

What did you ride to get a sore arse?
Are you on the right site?
