My photo bucket account is down..damn.
The story is that a member on our local scooter forum asked about insurance premiums going up since her husband laid over their PCX and they filed a claim for the damages.
I replied that I'd be interested to buy it if they "totaled it out".
Well, they didn't total it out, but the repair bill at the Honda shop was high enough, combined with my cash offer, they just bought a new one.
Win-win, since I get a clean title and an easily fixable bike.
I was actually shocked when the guy at the Honda shop rode it from around back since I hadn't seen any pictures of it and expected more damage.
The owners met me there and we did our paperwork in the lot and they were very nice about the whole thing. He said he hit a drainage culvert at the edge of the road I guess
(with the front edge of the tire/wheel) and it knocked him over.
Anyway, It look likes this bike is too nice to part out, which still leaves me wanting a donor bike to swap
The good news is that after removing the rest of the right footrest plastic,
it was just a matter of bending down the 2 mounting tabs that are welded to the frame,
and straightening out the metal footrest/floorboard mount and its good to go.
These will be the only parts I need to replace to be back to 100%:
Protector, Muffler 18318-KWN-900 $8.48
Cover, R. Side *Nha35 M* (Asteroid Black Metallic) Note: Asteroid black metallic
NHA35M; 64431-KWN-900ZA $16.24
Wheel Sub Assy., Fr. *Nh303 M* (Coo) (Mat Axis Gray Metallic) 44650-KZY-305ZA $173.32
Tire, Fr. (90/90 14 M/C 46 P) (Irc) 44711-KWN-901 $48.05
So for $250 bucks I can get back on the road.
Now I need to sell an Elite 110 or one of several other bikes before the wife realizes that this one isn't getting torn down!

Too many scoots..... 12 or so I think .
