south florida riding
was in the florida keys a couple of weeks ago and down to key west. had a great time and rented scooters for the day. ended up getting the sym mio 50's for my wife and i. i have to be honest, they rode well and handled great for a little scooter. seemed very much like the honda metros. coming from upstate ny and having snow and ice, it was nice to be on a scooter again. the pcx won't be out again for quite a while yet. everyone in the warmer climates, enjoy your rides

I'm on the CT coast and can tell you we still have a good amount of snow on the ground. Warmer temps are coming and I anticipate a lot of melting. . .and already they are saying it will put a dent in the drought we've been having. Extended forecast looks wet but not super cold. . .March kind of cold.
I haven't been able to get on my Roughhouse R50 in two weeks. I ride it all year but not when there are frozen areas still on the roads or really salty runoff. . .
Hoping I'll be able to start it up some time next week and take it for a ride. . .fingers crossed the snow melts quickly.
I'm in the market for a new PCX and have to make sure I visit the dealer with an empty wallet until I'm ready to deal and buy. Trying to hold out for an end of season special when the 2018's are released. I think the only reason I'd get a 2018 is if Honda did something with the seat again to improve it. . .otherwise I'd just get a leftover 2017 and save a bit of $$.

Re: south florida riding
I have 2013 versions and we upgraded the seats ourselves by getting some nice ones from Thailand. It is 65 degrees F. right now. That is the high for today. tomorrow it will be 62 and rainy, so forget riding, but Sunday promises 71 degrees, and Monday says 73 degrees. Unfortunately, next week looks like it will be in the 60s and rainy. Spring is trying to get here. The cherry trees are blooming, and daffodils are blooming as well. Soon, very soon we will be riding again. Of course, if you are in Florida you are already riding.
