Adding a Facebook page or group as a photo library
This question is for anyone who can answer, but if you know how to bring this to the attention of a forum moderator / person with experience in the following, then please tell me.
Yesterday I got frustrated trying to create a post on here which required a lot pf photos.
As you know, this forum does not host images but rather uses the image-source function, allowing people to make posts with photos that are hosted by the likes of http://www.tinypic.com. Doing it this way takes a lot of time and is much more hassle than, say, a Facebook page or group to which I can easily and quickly upload images and whose images I can then easily edit and add descriptions for.
So I made a Facebbok account called Honda Scooter.
Now I want advice on whether I should just make public photo albums to post photos and descriptions of DIY mechanic work, or whether pages, groups, and contributor-based stuff is better.
The aim is NOT to draw people to 'my' facebook page, and that is why I made a brand new new Facebook account for this. I am NOT linking that to my personal FB page etc.
The aim IS to make it easy and quick for myself and others to post and access photo-rich content which can easily be annotated and whose URL can be shared here.
In short, I am trying to cheat, to make it easier for myself and other PCX owner / DIY mechanics to use this forum.
I recently stripped my 2015 PCX down to do the valve clearance check/adjustment.
Having struggled to make a photo-rich post here, I thought about the above and made the FB account.
Your thoughts and advice please....

I also tried to do the same with my Google account, adding photos to Google's photo library under my personal account. However, I want to keep my PCX stuff separate from my personal pages.

I have uploaded photos to this site from my personal computer. When they ask for the file, I go to my disc where the photo is and upload it from there. Like this one, for example:

Bollocks!
I have just spent ages making a whole new FB page and making a photo album and describing each photo in detail.
Well, I'm keeping that page and once that photo album if finished, I am going to link it from here.
Thanks, though, flyingzonker.

Seems appropriate to post a picture of a cat, being that Facebook is being discussed.flyingzonker wrote:I have uploaded photos to this site from my personal computer. When they ask for the file, I go to my disc where the photo is and upload it from there. Like this one, for example:

Re: Adding a Facebook page or group as a photo library
I HAVE seen a few posts with links to photo folders elsewhere, so it certainly can be done. Adding two or three pics to a post is OK, but I can see that a how-to with lots of pics would be an arduous effort (A huge thanks to all who have performed this selfless act). OTOH, having narrative between pics is also nice.
I hope you find a way, pxc - I expect your work will be interesting.

On my scoot, getting there is WAY more than half the fun!

for the time being i will continue with FB (posting links here) now that i have made it and it is so easy to make and annotate an album
i made the FB account: Honda Scooter.
using that account, i made a group called: 2015 Honda PCX owners and D.I.Y. mechanics.
the link is here:
https://www.facebook.com/groups/570307253139254/
i made the account only to admin the group, just to keep PCX stuff and my real (FB) life separate
by all means join and contribute to the group and post this links here
thanks again
