This is the same end that is on a Battery Tender. I used one to make a light for my seat compartment. 16 gauge is fine for an LED light - I would go lower gauge number (thicker wire) if I were to try to attach something with more power draw.

Re: Quick and easy way to attach to your battery charger cab
I just bought one of those types. Then I cut the wires in half and stripped them. One thing that I will do is add more wire length to the connections. Now I can attach anything I want to it.
Currently own:

Hi George, am I understanding you correctly?
You're using this lead (below & shown on link), off your battery terminal(s) for your added under seat LED lighting vv
That ^^ "inplace of" the Battery Tender's (provided) lead? If so why? Is it the split wires? Gauge of wire(s)?
I'm no whiz kid on electrical stuff
but I'm thinking there's gotta be a good reason. It's Price is right, that's for sure!

The function on of the this type of quik disconnect connector is you can never reverse polarity. Red always gets connected to red, etc.
Connector pairs cheap on amazon, always keep 3-4 pair in my workshop.

WN - I basically cut the connector in half and extended the wires. I put a rolling type switch in the line, and then soldered to a 12V LED. I do a fair amount of night riding after the time change, and this lets me get out my gloves and knee pads out and pack my tutoring stuff into the scoot.
( A smarter dog would have led the wire and the switch on the right side away form the helmet hook. If the Gorilla tape lets go, I will likely change it over.)
Definitely bright enough!
