What do you lot carry in case of emergencies on your pcx?

I'm wondering if I should carry a spare belt. Has it snapped on anyone?

Is it realisticall possible to change out on the road side?

I honestly don't carry much unless I'm traveling. if I'm traveling, I might carry a set of metric sockets, an air pressure gauge, maybe an emergency tire repair kit, a flashlight, and a .380...for a different sort of emergency.

preparing for un seen emergency
would involve a back up team with tools and parts
unless you are making an epic journey into uncharted wilderness
a credit card and cell phone are lighter and more cost efficient in the long run
always some good soul to help you out
but the credit card helps
about the belt- follow the maintenance suggestions and you should be ok

I carry at all times a tire plugging kit, a vice grip pliers, screw drivers, needlenose pliers, tire gage--I should but don't carry some kind of tire pump. I don't carry a spare belt--that would mean I would also need an impact wrench to get the variator nut off. your best bet, seems to me, would be to change your belt a little early so that you don't have to worry about it breaking on the trail.

Good maintenance is you best defense against an emergency breakdown especially in regards to a belt breaking.I think sometimes folks wait too long to change their belt and then a surprise is inevitable. If going on a longer ride replace beforehand or yearly if used frequently..When it comes to rubber, failure is not only contingent on wear it is on time in service. Tire repair kit is a good idea, but that involves a 12 v pump patches and screwdrivers plus a couple wrenches (Vice grips). For local usage best tool probably is a cell phone..

Mobile phone + AA membership card
I do not carry any tools of any kind ever.
Once upon a time I used to but not any more.

No, .380 acp. It's a little Bersa Thunder .380. Looks a lot like a Walther ppk. Made in Argentina. only carried as an absolute last resort. I'm a man of peace, but even I may need to defend myself at some point.

I do have a firearm capable of discharging .38 spl rounds, but that's technically a .357 magnum. It's my deer hunting revolver. Daniel Wesson with the removable barrel. It's one of the few works of art I own that I didn't make myself.

Nothing wrong with that. I had a little Walther replica made by Emma in 22rf.

Did any of you use 9mm supers? They quickly died a death over here after the pistol ban. Nice to shoot as they were pretty high loads.

Not I. My best friend has a Smith and Wesson 9mm Luger, but that's the most powerful 9mm auto round I've fired.

the .357 mag could be considered a 9mm round. I bought the Dan Wesson to replace a Taurus tracker in .41 mag. That was quite the firearm, but the trigger guard smacked the knuckle of my middle finger every time I fired it. Ended up with a purple knuckle after a few rounds. It was a poor design, and the rounds cost over $1.50 ten years ago when I sold it, so the .357 was a decent compromise. I practice often with my pistols and even if I reloaded my own shells, it wouldn't have been worth it to keep the .41.

Plus, the Dan Wesson is a beautiful piece, and it's got a longer barrel than the tracker. Here in PA, it's plenty though since most deer hunting is in bramble strewn woods wth between 20 and 50 yards visibility.

Guns.. Guns are prolific in the US due the history of its origin. When America was colonized by the British guns were taken away from the colonists so there could not be any dissent or insurrection .That's how to subjugate a population. When the colonists formed USA they wrote in its constitution never can a government take away their right to own a gun. There you have it..Everyone is packing and its not anymore a luxury..its a necessity. I encourage all good folks to carry all the time as much as possible to hopefully prevent or thwart off a lunatic radical Muslim or other fanatic killing attack of innocents. Guns are our only protection against guns.Hockey pucks don't work very well last I heard.

Yes would have loved a Dan Wesson. Cased with the separate barrels.

I had a similar problem to yours with a S&W Classic Hunter. The recoil used to cut my thumb joint on the thumb latch. Had to replace it with a modified Ed Brown one.

Worst injury I had was racking the slide on a .22 Vostock target pistol. I didn't pull back on the slide but put my hand across the top. Frame mounted very sharp target sights so tore up my palm. Didn't do it again.

I've got a Taurus seven shot in .357 and it's ok. Shoot 38spl loads in .357 cases most of the time unless it's on metal plates.
