Passed its MOT :)

not too impressed with a Honda main dealer sending me away with an advisory for a non working number plate light though! Why not just fix it and put £2 on the bill!

Because to fit it would have invoked a labour charge and at Honda main dealer prices there's no way the bill would have been £2

So giving it a more positive spin, they've done you a favour by not fitting it ;)

Did they check emissions...?

If you want to check an MOT use this website.

https://www.check-mot.service.gov.uk

You should have got a pass certificate if it passed.

No mention of emissions in the handbook Alibally linked to.
Which means no need for spending extra on a cat :)
