Slip Sliding Away ... Which Tire/Tyre

Post by kramnala58 »

In response to another thread http://hondapcx.org/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=5141 and the number of incidents where our members have reported having their bike slip from under them, I was wondering what tires/tyres were on your PCX if you have had it slip out from under you for whatever reason.

I was at a fairly slow speed on very smooth concrete which had a covering of dust on it. I am not sure the tire/tyre would have made much difference as I was simply going too fast for the surface. Total operator error on my part.

Never had any such problem on my PCX in 18,000 miles.

Experienced maybe but not always smart, I made a big boo-boo yesterday and had to apologise to a car driver.
He was very good about it, probably because I didn't actually hit him.

Sorry GatorGreeg, I didn't realize that you started a similar poll.

No need to apologize - your poll is great cuz it's more focused on folks who actually had a slippage on their tires, whereas my poll (credit to homie :D ) is more broadly oriented to any off that might not actually have anything to do with the tires.

I'm afraid this poll is flawed. As mentioned on the other one, scoots come with tyres on. It follows that whatever the stock tyres are will feature more in the results.
