Steering lock on - ignition key shunter closed problem

Has anyone come across this problem. After turning the wheel to the left and putting the ignition key in the LOCK position, the ignition key shutter closed!

Now I cannot insert the key into the ignition key slot to unlock the steering because the shutter does not operate as normal, if I turn the shutter open it just springs back to the closed position giving me no chance to insert the ignition key!

Is there a method to unlocking the steering system on 2015 PCX 125?

Can you not use one key to open the shutter and the spare to to take the steering lock off ???? If I'm getting your drift ;)

Glad your sorted. Your shutter shouldn't be pinging back though how you described it?

No you're right - it shouldn't.

It happened automatically after I turned the wheel to the left, key position over to lock and the moment I removed the key from the ignition slot the shutter automatically closed shut!

The shutter works as normal apart from the steering lock function. I'll be mentioning this fault to Honda as it s still under warranty.

I was under the impression that shutter function is correct on the new model bikes.

Kinda makes sense that it would snap closed when steering lock is engaged, but having to use both keys to get the steering lock off...well, that would be poor engineering.
