Starting to make sense

Post by honkerman »

The PCX seemed big and a bit ungainly around corners when I first got it. It was planted and was great in a straight line, but now that I've gotten used to the weight, it really makes sense. It's actually easier to throw into corners than my old scoot, though I have yet to drag the side stand or muffler (did that a few times on the Kymco).

Ran it around Lancaster tonight and blogged about it if anyone is interested to read.

"The PCX seemed big and a bit ungainly ...

Funny, it's always seemed tiny and zippy to me. All one's perspective, I guess.

My previous scoot was about 50 lbs lighter and more narrow. Comparatively, the PCX is gigantic.

I went from a Daytona 900 to a PCX.
It felt like a bicycle.

I went from an R75 Beemer with a huge, high-carried fuel tank to the PCX. Same rake and trail, WAY easier to handle all around.

Some Examples of Good bikes 2yous?
I like many, although I never owned more than 6 with three of them being at the very same time.
You went out with the Mrs. and no pics to share? Boo :)

B4 my PCX? A bulky and heavy Piaggio MP3 (though I admit, I loved the ride). PCX glides and floats (in a good way ;)

Vision to PCX, for the first 20 or so miles, it felt like I had jumped on a Pan European, rapidly got used to her, closing on 4,000 miles since April!
