Even on a perfect dry road ABS will extract the maximum braking available.
Humans cannot outperform ABS.

In many states in the US you can ride w/o a helmet or ABS on a motorcycle but must have a seat belt on in a car. :o

Until all bikes have ABS, I still think practicing how to brake is worthwhile.
