So I just got my 2015 PCX. Matte black special edition. Its 125cc as they don't offer the 150 here. No need as traffic here never gets above 40mph.

So just took it to get its first wash. A bike wash here in Vietnam is less than 1 US dollar.

I'm going to spray mine someday... maybe... perhaps not. I still haven't washed under the hood of my 8 year old truck for fear of pressure wash related mechanical failures, and I haven't experienced any :D

Yeah, even the bike is cheap. 2,700 for the limited edition (which included a factory alarm), vat (sales tax), and registration. I'm in Nha Trang a nice beach area, but business will require me to relocate to either Ho Chi Minh City or Da Nang.

Nice! What do you do there? I haven't been to Nha Trang but that's on my list. My mom's from Da Nang and most of her family is still there. My dad is from a little town of Duc Pho about 178km or a 3 hour drive south of Da Nang. Half of his family including my grandmother lives there, while half relocated to Ho Chi Minh City. It's been 5 years since I first and last went, and really want to go back while my grandmother is still alive. We're planning to next year, two weeks in Vietnam and a week in Australia.

That's a good price. Is the PCX built in Vietnam as well? I know that imported motorized vehicles in Vietnam are slapped with about 100% in taxes/tariffs, but Honda has I think 11 manufacturing plants in Vietnam.

Enjoy and post lots of photos of your bike and your travels!

Sorry. Flat black is a nice primer for some real paint. I like to wax my scoots & cars.
But, everybody seems to be going with flat colors.....
To each his own.
I spent some quality time up around Pleiku a few decades ago.
Always amazes me that a scoot will still run after such a soaking!

I agree. With so many bikes/scooters here in Vietnam, I wanted something a little different, so matte (primer) black was the way to go. Anyway, should make finding touch up paint easy :P

Hello, keep posting pictures of your city and scooter. It is very interesting for scooterists in mid west USA!
Enjoy and ride safe.

Very nice looking bike. Finding a place that makes those side cases is a stroke of luck. I think the cheapest we have found those, not counting shipping, was $600.

Just came back from a Bike trip in Vietnam, bought a Scooter in Saigon for 310 Dollars and sold it in Hanoi for 160, after fixing stuff for another 50 Dollars on the way.

I can put some interesting helmet cam videos online now :D Stuff like oncoming 40 Ton trucks passing and overtaking in my face....10 times an hour, me trying to avoid and then having to brake for a person that steps out. Happy I had good brakes and didn´t try to safe money on the 15 Dollars a full set of new tyres cost.

I did have mostly great moments, including a great beach party in Nha Trang. Russian language skills are of benefit there for sure, as is English where the Aussies have their offshore oil platforms. Explored Mui Ne, and Phan Thiet, Vung Tau and Hanoi in more detail.

Its great and people are nice, its also quite safe. Just be prepared to negotiate, as soon as you look western, stuff is ten times the price. Might be coming back, in a few years.

I was absolutely terrified the first hour we were on the road from Da Nang to Duc Pho with all the people passing each other on two lane highways at the last minute. After awhile I realized that's how they normally drove and chances of crashing were slim, so I went to sleep for the rest of the ride.
