Shay and the rock haulers...

Post by homie »

During my benchmark run for 0 to 60 and beyond... Shay had to navigate my worst fear... ROCK HAULERS!
zero to 60mph in 18 seconds from this real time video...

Uff... We all are glad that you scaped unharmed!!! We don't want you to appear in the "crash survivor list"!!!  ;)

It's always difficult to drive with lots of heavy vehicles surrounding us, but even more difficult in the States, with some many trucks, pickup trucks, SUVs, vans, etc, etc ;)

BTW: I'm still braking in the scooter (about 400 miles) and I'm eager to be able to use the whole throttle!! :D :D :D :D

I was riding with a friend. He was in front of me. There was a truck ahead of him carrying furniture. A small chair dropped from the truck onto the road. The chair bounced just in front of my friend's bike..... then flew over his head and landed just behind his bike. He never had time to react. It looked like a scene from a cartoon. I didn't own a GoPro in those days.

:o :o :o :o :o :o :o

If you had installed a cam that day, the video would had been a "hit"! ;)

This reminds me that, when I lived in the States, there used to be some small (and not so small) objects in the shoulders of the roads, presumably fallen from the pickup trucks' beds... so it's advisable to pass these vehicles as soon as possible!!

For cold riding, use a pinlock visor insert, keeps the fog out.

I have one myself, but it's utterly useless because my prescription sunglasses will still fog up inside o.O
