Right now, I'm watching through Eureka, which is a really cool scifi series about a sheriff in a town full of supergeniuses. It's awesome. My favorite series of all time is Cowboy Bebop, which is an anime about bounty hunters, in space. It's even more awesome.
What are you watching, and what is the most awesome show in your opinion?
Definitely The Walking dead, heres a clip. If you love your zombie gore, click the youtube link, itll start right at the best bit. If your at all squeamish, dont watch this clip AT ALL http://youtu.be/GcC0G2B7vog?t=5m15s
Damn, that was gross. Looks like a funny show though. I'll have to see if it's on Netflix. We don't get cable either, just Netflix through our Wii and whatever we can find online for free or through torrents.
http://www.oneDDL.com is good for downloading TV shows. All the links are through rapidshare or megaupload etc instead of torrents. They get deleted by the websites there uploaded to fairly quickly though but ive found if your downloading a TV show as and when the episodes come out, its very good. I prefer it to torrents because BT cap my torrent speeds in the daytime because ive downloaded SO much.
Also, walking dead is on there. Ive just realised the sites down though first time ive ever seen it down though, its not a regular occurrence.
Torrent traffic is really easy to see and monitor over the internet too, it sticks out like a sore thumb. Just downloading files looks completely innocuous though, so your methodology is much better than torrenting. I only use torrents when I'm out at a coffee shop with wifi.
The Walking Dead is good so far, only seen a few of the first episodes though. Parks and Recreation is a great comedy. Arrested Development as well. I'm currently watching two new shows, Grimm and Once Upon a Time. Watching the new season of Gold Rush which is a freaking awesome show.
Some of my all time favorite shows are Mythbusters (watching the newest season now) and DragonBall Z.
I only just now realized that the Walking Dead is shot around metro Atlanta area, not far away from Maddiedog's abode, Marietta. I wonder if Maddie knows the intersection and the gas station where the opening scene was filmed. It was shot somewhere near Cascade Palmetto highway. Ever pumped your getaway (from rat race) vehicle there?
I have learned from my mistakes, and I am sure I can repeat them exactly.
We were all set up to dump our satellite TV and had called them to tell them to disconnect us, but they were so determined to keep us that they dropped our bill by more than half, and no contract. I guess that is better for them than nothing. Granted, we don't watch all sorts of stuff, but we do like our TV. We have over 2,000 movies at our house, so we can always watch a movie if nothing is on that we want to watch, plus we have a Roku 3. Plus I built a home theater PC that is connected to our 46" TV so we are set there too. But we decided to give Direct TV another chance, knowing that we can cancel at any point in time.
Oh, and we loved Eureka while it was on. Too bad it went away.

The "Sherlock" series on PBS' Masterpiece Theater are a worthy watch. There have been three seasons, with three episodes each season. The current shows are available in their entirety (I think, and certainly hope since I'm sending you off) until 3/4/14. see http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/masterpiece/wat ... /?sherlock
I have set up an old computer (PC) to watch and record off-air TV for me. I have a network two-band tuner to allow two channels of recording, or one record and one watch live, and a Lynksys media extender to port the signals to my home theater. The computer has a 1.5 TB drive that is probably around 70% full.
When the Linksys dies, I will probably either move the old computer, or make a media-center computer for the living room. We don't watch much, so no cable or satellite works fine for us.
On my scoot, getting there is WAY more than half the fun!

Recently I bought a second Android tablet to use connected to the TV by HDMI.
It only cost fifty pounds.
The Bridge is what I am watching just now, also Inspector Montalbano.
Four decades on two wheels has taught me nothing, all advice given is guaranteed to be wrong
I am so looking forward to buying a 55-60" smart tv (thinking Sony or Samsung). Saving many pennies to do so. I've enjoyed watching Once Upon a Time, Grimm and Revenge. Like Mel, I have lots and lots of dvd's to suit me mood.
Shame I still have a 27" battle-ax TV to watch them on. February late month sales are coming...and I'll be there!
