with the 2015 Honda PCX 150 to be released soon in the U.S.
question: will the NEW 2.1 gal gas tank fit my 2013 PCX 150?
of course it has the 1.6 gal tank...
would love NOT to have to fill up every other day.

Re: NEW GAS TANK FIT?
welcome to the forum
Others have thought about this also...
If you can find me a parts diagram (tank/frame) of the new model, I could tell you if it will fit or not.
I think "powerbypcx" said the new model has a completely different frame..., I can't imagine it being that much different than the 13.

Re: NEW GAS TANK FIT?
Looking at where the 2013 tank is, it wouldn't take much of a change to make a difference. New tank could be a different shape all together. I wish I could see the two tanks side by side.

I feel your pain! It's nice to "fill up" every other day for ~$3, but I'd rather put $5 in it and ride twice as long!jaybird wrote:would love NOT to have to fill up every other day.

Re: NEW GAS TANK FIT?
Even if it does, do you really want to try to get it out?
Here's my PCX completely disassembled -- even in this state, I have absolutely no idea how you'd get the gas tank out:

Re: NEW GAS TANK FIT?
FYI, I found the tank and frame diagrams of the new pcx(ww150?) at "cheap cycle parts .com"
the new tank appears to be wider, but roughly the same shape... all the tank parts numbers have slightly different numbers,
so if your thinking of going with the bigger tank, you "may" need to also get the appropriate fuel pump.
If anyone wants to donate to me a new tank...
I will see if this swap will work.

You can't get the gas tank out because it's only partially disassembled
Also disassembled is an absolute. You can't have fully or partially disassembled any more than you can have partially or fully naked.

Re: NEW GAS TANK FIT?
Isn't the fuel pump inside the tank? Would we also need a new sensor? I wonder how many parts would absolutely have to be transferred to the older model to get it to read accurately.
