Thanks, Whitenoise.

Had a nice day (except for no scooting). Family event planned a couple of weeks ago at mother-in-law's home. Nephew living there now, and wanted to clean out some stuff. As luck wold have it , my MIL passed away early Saturday morning. she was a snick over 100, so not a terrible thing (although my wife will be at a loss for a while). I spent the day smoking a couple of pork loins and sausages, direct grilling some chicken, then roasting a couple of pineapples. Oh yeah - and pounding down a brew or two. Lots of family laughs - a nice time all around. Probably a good memory created.
On my scoot, getting there is WAY more than half the fun!

I spent a lot of the day lounging in my hammock. My WiFi is so strong that I took my tablet out with me. To keep the bugs off, especially the kind that bite, I hung a mosquito net over it. My wife bought me a beautiful Tourmaster Sonora 3/4 riding jacket in hi-viz yellow. I also got a slim 1 TB portable hard drive, but that's a different story. Five of our six kids called or came over. The sixth one was mad. But then he is always in trouble, so it doesn't take much to upset him. He isn't my finest moment :-( .

Oh, and I forgot to add that the day before that we went on a 200+ mile ride which crossed the Georgia, Tennessee and North Carolina borders multiple times. Long ride but lots of fun. Texted Dave during the ride. He was riding up in Tennessee but we were too far apart to meet up, so we just zigzagged back and forth on the many back country roads up in the Blue Ridge area. Beautiful scenery up there.
