hope i can get a heads up in what i am about to encounter.......i have mechanical ability so i am not worried about doing the job, but without ever doing it just wondering what i am getting myself into.....9035 miles on the scoot and i think its time to change the rear tire......
exhaust off, bracket off, and remove wheel........wow just like that!!!!..I was thinking i was going to have to undo the drive belt and the drum connection......( that was without looking at it )...SWEET!!! if thats all i have to do...
Thanks for the heads up, now where was that tire thread so i can see what kind of tire i need....
You'll be needing a 100/90-14 Michelin City Grip.
I found it easier to take the exhaust heatshield off, but you can get at the three bolts with it on.
There are two domed nuts at the cylinder head.
Keep the exhaust gasket it can be re-used.
The hugger doesn't have to be removed to get the wheel out but its easier if you undo the bolts at the exhaust side.
Four decades on two wheels has taught me nothing, all advice given is guaranteed to be wrong
On my scoot, getting there is WAY more than half the fun!
