AGH POLLEN

Post by maddiedog »

Where I live, it's full-blown tree mating season. Pollen is everywhere. My eyes and nose are clogged with tree sperm. It's horrible. I can't stop sneezing.

I need to take a pic of my PCX. It is YELLOW with pollen.

Here's a parking lot near my house. Normally, it would be black asphault. It's yellow. With pollen.

Stop drinking red wine (has histamine in it). White wine is OK along with spirits and beer.

The white PCX really shows up dirt. I guess the silver or Black would hide dirt or pollen better? But white is cooler!

I second that Woolley, You need a cover Dave.

If anyone in the UK is after one Argos were selling them cheap a few weeks ago, I paid £12 for mine and completely covers the entire bike. 8)

I have a cover, but if I don't want to have to wash it after every ride to put it under the cover!

Ouu yeah! Lots of pollen hey maddie! Right here in good 'ol Florida we are dusted as well! I can't complain about my bike getting yellowed out cuzz I'm lucky enough to have a garage. Have you ever heard of the Cool Ass Cover? I think it was the modern vespa forum that raved about it at one time  I have no experience with it myself http://www.genuinecoolass.com/scooter-seat-cover.htm I think I'll read up on it again.
Gold snow....gotta love it and sneezing :x

Yeah, I've seen that. A friend had one -- it's basically a "space blanket" with some elastic sewn into the edges. It works really well though.

Pollen's completely cleared out now, or at least the thick pollen that blankets everything. My nose says there's still pollen in the air though, I'm still stuffy.

There is not much of problem with pollen here, but about heat! Park in the sun and your back gets fried when you sit down on the bike. So many people just use a towel wrapped around the seat here, it works wonders against the sun and after a rain it is useful for drying your seat.

Douglas Adams said already: never leave your house without a towel.

Ah, I love Douglas Adams. I've read the Hitchhiker's "trilogy" many times.
