Re: Today's Quick Pic
This is north Kentucky. Can't wait to get back to louisiana. We are expecting a lot of rain Sunday with overnight low of 25. Seeing the trend with the south, I'm expecting the state to shut down if we see a single snowflake

If I were a real Advrider, I'd be riding in the field instead of just taking a picture from the road, right?
Make it so:

Re: Today's Quick Pic
Early October I took WN out back for the purpose of dropping her....but Not with me on it!
Not too long ago, I posted a YouTube video on the forum (under Riding Tips? or something similar) showing us "How to pick up a scooter." Well, I thought I'd give it a go. Out onto grass we rode, I put the side stand down killing the motor (remember in a real drop scenario there's a good chance the bike will be running, in which case you/I would attempt to hit the kill switch or turn the key to off. Putting the side stand down will also shut the bike off But in a "fall" I'd tend to leave the stand alone, right? Hmm....(thinking) and go for the nearest shutdown point. My thought anyway.
Okay, I get off, stand on right side of her (opposite of side stand and with the side stand "Down") I began leaning WN down towards me. Almost 3/4 of the way down & holding 280 lbs. steadily, I realize I can't go any further. Why? My "Born in the USA" front directional is protruding and I'm about to snap it off! I'm annoyed & with my lower back hurting, I get the bike upright again & lean it over on it's side stand. Arg! I'm done. VERY Disappointed!
Sorry. Instead of showing you a few demo photo's, here's an upright WhiteNoise grazing on a green lush fall lawn. Deep sigh, tall beer, I left her alone.
Bloody Hell! We need embedded directionals!

Oh....by the by, I did take that photo of the cows while riding country roads in Florida. See the Big Ones staring at me? Yeah, the chocolate one and ol' whiteface! They're a couple, they be the bosses. They scared my camera, it shook. But I got the pic .......and mooved on

Re: Today's Quick Pic
Heh. Mooved on.
I got nothing, the PCX is mothballed until winter weather gets less insane. Yesterday was riding weather, but I had too much going on. Rain today. :/
We had a crazy snowstorm here in Atlanta last week that ground the city to a halt. Here's what my house looked like during the storm:
It took 3 days before the roads were even considered to be passable. We're just ill equipped to deal with snow here in the South -- no one knows how to drive on it, it doesn't make economical sense to maintain snowplows, and most of the drivers are cocky. It was a combination that ended up making traffic in the metro area completely gridlock from Tuesday around noon until Wednesday. I ended up driving for 3 hours, sitting stopped for 2 hours, then finally parking my car and jogging 5.5 miles home.
