Finally the senior vet took her in and ran tests for cancer. She was 9 years old and only weighed 9 pounds when she died. Her normal weight was 11 - 12 pounds. She use to meet me when I came into the house with a special "woo woo" instead of just a bark. She was always so happy that we would kid that her tail was going to fly off if she wiggled any harder. I loved that dog dearly. I will miss her even though we have 2 others.

I've had to do this 4 times now. just look at the beginning of this thread and you will smile. then, when you are ready, it will happen all over again. not another Miss Pearl but you will save another dog. And, they will save you too!
My condolences, Mel. She's in a better place now. It's amazing how fast time flies with them. We've had Maddie for almost 6 years now, and she hasn't slowed down a bit. I'll be devastated when her time comes, but you're really right -- they're here to make us smile, and no pup does it better than a little terrier. We have to make the most of the short time we can enjoy with them. I'm sure you showed her a great life.Mel46 wrote:Miss Pearl. May she rest in peace.
